Abandoned blogs with loads of traffic

Do you ever come across blogs with loads of traffic, no adsense or affiliate links that have been abandoned? It drives me mad knowing i could be making some bank from them.

Found one recently on blogger that dates from late 2003 to late 2008 when the owner left a message saying the blog will no longer be updated. I know that they are probably not aware of how much the blog may be worth as they mention in blog posts that they have no clue with computers or the internet. This blog has 100s and 100s of posts and some posts have nearly 500 comments, its in a popular niche and it ranks 1 in the big G for some popular keywords. I have put it through some of those evaluation sites and had figures of $300 - $7000 for the blogs worth.

Thats all... I just wanted to vent some frustration and i would be interested to know if any of you have ever successfully purchased blogs like these on the cheap? I am thinking of emailing an offer.

hehe, good advice, im just being a pussy about it... just a bit nervous because it could be a very sweet deal... it happens to be a subject my partner is a teacher of, so it would be kept up to date and it could potentially be used to further her career if used right ...as well as making me some juicy internet bucks.

Just email them at first if they give it for free , tell them you love their work and would like to continue it if its possible or such BS Then offer them money , grass, ass ,gas or some items for trade

Yes see if you can BS your way to a free blog, although chances are if it is that good others many have tried.
