I browsed BHW for years before I finally created an account. When I first discovered the forum, I admittedly was overwhelmed by just how much information was available. I fell into trap of searching for that "perfect" method to make me a millionaire overnight, and experienced constant failure because I was jumping from idea to idea. It's a common thing, so here's an exercise you can do yourself to break out of that counterproductive cycle and start making real money.
Login to your CPA network of choice, and browse through every offer. No exceptions. Sometimes the most unorthodox offers have the most opportunity, and if you think there's no money in it, most likely 1,000 other people scrolled past it too, saying the exact same thing so all the more reason to capitalize on an untapped niche.
Get a notepad or fire up a spreadsheet. For every offer you see, answer these questions:
What demographic would be most interested in this offer?
What perceived benifet does somebody get from completing this action?
Where can my target individual be found online?
What (if any) pain point/problem does this offer intend to fix?
It might sound silly, but if you go through this process in it's entirety, you will have more actionable ideas than you know what to do with.
For example, I just did this exercise, and within minutes I found a good paying email submit offer that asks: "Is *certain political candidate* doing a good job?" It prompts the user to answer a few questions, then enter their email address for a chance at winning a gift card or something. I went to a forum containing supporters of said political candidate, scraped a few emails, setup a basic landing page that took less than 10 minutes, and sent out a mail merge. Already made a few conversions.
Critical thinking is and will always be 10x more effective than sifting through different methods looking for that golden ticket to riches. Don't get me wrong, I love browsing the forums, but I do so for inspiration, and to provide value where I can.
To quote a line from one of my favorite songs, "You're never gonna find it if you're looking for it won't come your way".
Hope this helped someone out.
