Will be great until the local toe rags find out and ring it every 5 minutes.
I remember the first guy with a car alarm in our street when I was a kid.
    He soon took that out.

I should seriously stop brushing off ideas because I think they are stupid. That boy just proved once again that the world is full of morons who would believe (buy) even the most useless contraption.

Yes - just because you believe it's a stupid invention, then doesn't it really matter if just other people are willing to buy it.

Just take all the crap you can buy if you are superstitious. I'm amazed how much crap can be worth :)

What you think is stupid, may just be genius for others.

Why do you think there are people buying rehashed ebooks? Same landing pages, same info, same everything, yet people pay another 34.95 to learn the same things...twice?

Every second there's an idiot born. If the kid can squeeze 250000 squid out of this invention, then so be it. Don't hate mate

Definitely an inspiration - shows there isn't an age limit to start making high amounts of money. Good ideas and hard work, pays off :)

You will show up after being at the movies for 2 hours. Then you'll find 3 salesmen waiting patiently because they think that you're home.

    So wait.

Burglars normally press the doorbell to check if somebody is home? am i getting that right?

Dont the smart burglars know how to case the area for at least a few days to get all the patterns from the homeowners?

You know what he should of seriously done is rigged the doors with the mobile technology, so if they is force entry into the house it calls the cops. Now that'd be something.

And to your original questions i've had the same people over the past 3 weeks ask for different people after me saying they don't live here so 1 day i thought i'd let it past see what was going to happen i had around 5 guys attempt to raid the house until i suprised them and they shit there selfs.

A woman called the police four times say intruders where tying to break in.
after 20 minutes she called back to say "Don't worry I just shot them." 5 squad cars, an armored truck and a helicopter were there 90 seconds later.

Last time I checked... burglars don't ring the doorbell before breaking into your house.

In my neighborhood, the first parent that bought a corvette, bought a car alarm with it, in like 198(something). And it took us about 15 mins to figure out how to set it off continuously... And then turn it off, lol :D And I don't think this doorbell will be any different.. LOL The first asshole who gets this kind of treatment, will probably be a crotchety old man, who the kids love to mess with.... Instead of, or along with, the flaming bag of poo on the porch, the doorbell that won't stop ringing. :D

Wait so they actually broke into your house and then you caught them, or were they just in the process of getting in?

I'd hope you had a gun or something if you were going to just let someone break in lol.

What's wrong with shooting people that try to break into your house? For all you know they could have weapons on them too. I would never risk the well-being of myself or my family and think it's over the top to shoot intruders.

I agree the idea is not topnotch, but the trick here is simple, have a idea and blast the shit out on press releases worldwide besides the usual 2.0 promotions. If a big media company pick it up , others will follow.

Let's face it, it is useful, if not so much for the thiefs, but in case anyone wants to talk to you and you are not at home...
It's the kind of thing that makes us wonder: How didn't anyone thought of this before?
The kid had a good sense of opportunity nothing else.
