One of my clients does a little bit of public work for them, the post would have verifiable images and a smallish write up, not of my clients business activity, but of my clients involvement with the charity.

I've told the client and quote that we need to build a separate post type away from his core business, write about the activity he did for this chairty, highlighting their brand, and making sure the content matched to the charity website and allow them to link to this post, the footer links can absorb the power of their backlink to give his business a boost.

Any better suggestion, remember this is genuine business and I don't want to get caught on spam filter cause the charity is completely unrelate to the client business. It is this far apart for example

charity local community for help kids with problems (so it's powerful site got gov links)
business is pizza shop.

To add to this i am quite happy to no follow this link

Unrelated business and websites link to each other all the time. Link should be completely fine in regards to spam filters.

agreed Matthew, just how to make google pass power most effectively if your going to go unrelated niche, whilst not looking spammy or being spammy.

OP, your idea looks fine and businesses do charitable works on occasion. So I see nothing wrong with that.

thanks for your comment, links been on a little while, I expect it to be good for the client :)
