That is unless its been used on you

Over the last few weeks I've been working on some BLOGGER sites
and it seems somebody likes them so much he has started his own version

    My Version http://mywebfreebies.blogspot.com/
    His Version http://mywebfreebies.blogsopt.com/

    My version http://ladysquirters.blogspot.com/
    His Version http://ladysquirters.blogsopt.com/

    My version http://engineeredhardwood.blogspot.com/
    His version http://engineeredhardwood.blogsopt.com/

    My version http://salinebreastimplant.blogspot.com/
    His version http://salinebreastimplant.blogsopt.com/

How long does it take him to make his site

    posted this blog 13-15 gmt

Maybe you should alert Google... I bet they could make him disappear for violating their trademarks.

I'm not sure how he does it, But have checked all my blogs and he has a copy of them all

Check your own blogs, he just changes, spot. to sopt. Iwould never have found it except I made a typo
Its quiet ingenius really, its actually an easy typo to make.
Lol just checked a chinese blog and he's there too.

I clicked on his google ad about 50 times in a couple of minutes and now adsense seems to have dissapeared from some of my blogs.

What to do about him, I havent a clue. Perhaps one of the more expierienced guys can help.

I.m short of money, and this is why I didnt get my own domain and hosting.

but from now on or until i get some money, I will get a free domain
.co.cc or .tk. Im sure there.s more out there and a free hosting package.

I don.t think he will do much harm to me as very few of my hits will come from typing the url. and from what i can see he is only placing this ad on top. also Im thinking if we also place a google adsense ad in the same place, his site will look even spammier than it is now.

Brilliant, though his adsense is going to get banned soon.

It's pretty simple, its a subdomain catch that takes the real site, then adds an adsense after the title.

    That's genius.

If he incorporated a content spinner into all of this, his adsense would be good to go too.

Hey, you're right. I found my own blogs duplicated as well. Unfortunately for the cloner, my blogs are bundled together so all the hardcoded links in the menu still point to the original sections.

This is brillian, I dont like it but its brillian. Some people are just full of ideas. I just checked my blogs and some of my mates, all of them are duplicated. Same subdomain, same looks just blogsopt instead of blogspot. I'm sure hes adsense will be banned soon.

I am sure he is not really duplicating your blogs. Whenever his site receives a request for a page, he goes to the real blogspot.com blog and fetches that page on the fly, then returnes it back to your browser. Some sort of "reverse HTTP proxy" script. I am sure that before sending the page back to your browser, all the 'blogspot.com' links will be replaced with 'blogSOpt.com' links, so he could continue sticking his ads in there.

Google will most likely ban his Adsense account soon (most likely, some blog owners will complain to G)

However, even if he is deindexed from G and banned from Adsense, he could still have traffic and money from inline ads, affiliate bunners, etc. And he could spam links through XRUMER, or submit RSS feeds to RSS dirs (assuming he is "proxying" RSS feed requests the same way as other HTTP requests)

So the idea is decent I should say

Oh my god!! Even my high traffic blog has got a same thing....I think the domain blogsopt.com may be owned by google so that they don't want to loose traffic from people typing blogsopt.....its just like registering all TLD's ..they might also owned blogsopt.com......just my opinion.....very hard to believe any script would do that

    Wow

Best thing is i didnt even realize that the links are different in your post

and yes he has copies of my blogs too, but they are messed up because of that add on the top that he puts and my themes are somewhat complicated.

But any other "normal" blogspot seems to be copied this way and works fine

And if this was the work of Google i dont think that there would be any additional adds. Correct me if i am wrong

This is just amazing, unreal ...

yeah it has to be pulling it on the fly...when you request a page it goes to the real blogspot and pulls the real page and then replaces adsense content ...but i dont know how he would get traffic to all the sites considering its pretty much ANY blogspot site... unless he just uses misspelled traffic...because think of how many sites are blogspot...and think of how many people misspell their url probably
