my blogsite hosted in blogspot got PR2 automatically too and my website related to music got PR1(1 month old). I am happy because of that and sad because I don't have adsense now.. :(

Well here is the truth about PR. It is useless. It is a hint to webmanagers that they are on the right path - and that is it. It will not bring you more traffic or more money (unless you are a pay per post blogger, or a few other circumstances)

If I have a PR0, but my site has a lot of traffic and I am making money - who cares what my PR is? If I have a PR5 and I have little traffic and no money - who cares about my pr?

PR is a number generated by google that determines how trustworthy you are. The truth is, focus on getting traffic and links to your site and the PR will follow. Dont focus on PR.

Oh, and PR is an ever changing number. It changes every day - Google just doesn't publish it.

Very much true, cheers for you

You're absolutely right, but it's even better if you have high PR and gaining money.
IMO - I wouldn't do business with sites having aged domain name with little or 0 PR, showing that they won't even bother to invest their time in promoting their sites. How can I trust them?

Traffic alone would only get your alexa rank higher and perhaps contributes a little to the PR calculation,
but if you have a great sites, traffic plus something that can make a buzz in the site, people love it and put links about your site in theirs - that's how PR will follow.

if you are PR0 people find you before they find your competitor! so I think there is value in good PR if you are in competitive field.

my old technology site got nearly double traffic when it went to PR1 from PR3
