Hey guys & gals, to those of you that have a marketplace thread live offering a product or service with a free trial to potential users, how do you deal with forum newbies that recently joined and simply ask 10-20 different marketplace sellers (same product/service) for free trials all at once? Our experience has been that these people are simply abusing trials in an attempt to avoid paying and are highly unlike to actually subscribe. Do you just factor this in as a cost of doing business or do you simply ignore/reject such requests that appear as trial abusers? Heck, do you even look at the post history of those looking for a free trial in an attempt to gauge the lead quality?
We simply factor it in as a price of offering free trials on BHW. Contemplated charging $1 for trials to weed out some trial abusers but are curious if that negatively affects real potential customers that simply want to test before they buy. Curious what others are doing, if anything at all.
