During the beginning of your journey, did you have any doubters (people who think it's too good to be true/or you won't become successful through IM)?

& how are they to you after you proved them wrong?

I'm curious because I have many people doubting me & it motivates me to keep going on to prove them wrong.

beginners... aka me! take notes bc this is a motivational thread :D

I had doubters when I first started in business, I ignored them and 17 years later I run several businesses on and offline. Just do you thing and ignore them. I wish you well

My parents and the close friends who knew about IM doubted it. Their minds just couldn't comprehend that building a business online is possible. But then you prove them wrong and they start asking you to "teach them what you do" Don't let their words bring you down and remember that there's mostly good intentions behind why they doubt/worry.
    Best of luck to you.

I had doubts when I started, is this really profitable? Some asked me if IM its like any pyramid scam when I'm starting on it.

Doesn't just apply to IM. Many people still regard having a proper job as doing the 9-5 grind, sitting in the rush hour traffic for 2 hours to head into work then home again.

I had many years back a relationship with a really nice female, who worked in an office, stressful job and she couldn't understand why I didn't have a proper job. She got up in the morning, drove into work via the clogged motorway network, left and took 2 hours to get home. Where I got up , had a shower and never left home :)

This mindset was a reason we split, I think it was jealousy to a degree and she couldn't admit that my way of working was better than hers.

Oh yes I have a friend right now who is dying for me to teach all that I know for FREE. But I won't. What she calls teaching will basically be me doing all the work for her and her cashing her checks.

To be honest my biggest doubter was and still is myself. Self-doubt is a very real obstacle that people deal with. And while I'm not "rolling in money successful", the little successes keep the doubt at bay. As for other people being doubters or haters - you can and should develop strategies to deal with that. One might be simply not telling them what you're doing. Instead white lies, of sorts, will keep them from bringing you down (if you know or are pretty sure that they're that kind of person or that that might be their reaction).

Many of my friends and people around me laughed at me.

Now they ask me how I do it and if I can teach them. Everytime I try to teach someone, they give up after 1 hour.

People think that making money online is free money and that "I'm lucky" in some way making them. They don't actually understand how much work I've put down into learning the things I'm doing.

i started as a hobby. then did it out of monterary reasons.
now, If I get lonely, desperate and bored, I try to get some clients to work with.

That's what happens when someone has no critical thought - a lot of people are just happy to coast through life and not examine what they're actually doing with 75% of their life!

I've been there myself and had to change my mindset completely before I snapped out of that way of living. You can get on with people who make money for someone else all the same but when it comes to lifestyle, there's such a big difference.

Why do you guys have friends and family that are so unsupportive? lol. I don't earn big at all and still my parents and friends alike are fully behind me. They don't try to learn what I do, they don't try to get me to teach them. They accept that as my life and they move on with theirs.

Mine were the same. It's not that they don't want you to succeed, it's that they just don't understand. Most people just look at things in black & white and think you have to earn a salary working for someone else - not seeing the cause and effect. That's why whenever there is hard times and you're broke for example, people will tell you to quit and get a job but if you stay on the path and you're deterimined enough, the results will change and you'll eventually reap the rewards.

That is great for you. For the rest of the this is just not the reality. People often fear the unknown. Since they no one else pretty much making money online or having a business of their own, they just can't see how you will ever make it.

Don't let them bring you down. My family never really supported me, they treated me like I was a potato couch. Be confident about yourself and your capabilities.
