I am designing a website for my friend's dad. Since he is a close friend of mine I'm not charging him anything. The only thing is, he will be buying hostgator hosting using my affiliate link so that'll give me $100.

I'm planning to migrate all my sites from my current hostgator hosting (I have 1 month hosting and he'll buy 1 year hosting) to his hosting so that it saves me money on hosting. I wanted to know, if I do that will hostgator ban his hosting account? Since I reffered him, hostgator paid me and then I switched to his account?

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Hostgator affiliate program is a scam.
They will come up with all kind of reasons to not paying your commsion.

    Stay away.

    I have done something similar.
And finally I was not paid. Got a reason from Hostgator affiliate,
    something like "duplicate accounts".....
