A text list, maintained at periodic intervals by BHW, showing the username(s) of all offenders to watch out for; could be useful.

Hi...I was talking about active members, yes. Tension, indeed. Some people define tension as the chance of getting ripped off, though.

Hi Sasha. But even the first page...I don't know how many threads there are on the first page but it's a lot. Say approx. 10 replies to each...too much reading...not much utility. But like, if BHW could put together a finalized and updated version every X amount of time, for me at least, it would be faster and all in one text file.

Hm. I just found a counter-argument to myself. One could search just in the shitlist (possible, I think) for a given username and see what's up. Hm.

You could do a Google search. For example:

    Code:
    site:blackhatworld.com shitlist veyron
Just replace "veyron" with whomever you want to look up. Veyron is a good example though ;)

Anyone who is a confirmed scammer will be banned anyway. Use due diligence and common sense when dealing with anyone you're not sure about

Yeah but even if someone isn't banned, it might be nice to see if they were previously accused, how many times they were accused, and the reasoning behind it.

I'm sure it's possible to run into people here on BHW who have been temporarily banned in the past for some reason or another. Others who may have sold a crappy service but were ordered to provide a refund or face a ban. It's just nice to check that sort of stuff especially if you're planning to do a big deal with someone that revolves around trust.

Yeah :) I'd recommend using Google over the internal search function here on BHW. Just to be safe, you could do additional searches on someone by replacing "shitlist" with other keywords, for example: "scammer" or "ripoff", etc. That way you'll find any threads on BHW with that persons name where those words are mentioned.

You don't need a list like that.Scammers are everywhere.Just use common sense.
Is it too good to be true...than most cases it is a scam.
PM for details ... fishy..might be a scam or something sensitive that they don't want to discuss in the open.

Common sense that is all you need.

True for life in general. I need some time to be able to differentiate between what is "too good to be true" in BHW, for I don't have any background in black hat online money making or experience in BHW to have that click in my brain automatically (as part of common sense).

IMO a fast way to solve the shit list threads would be placing the link of the shit list in the accused member's signature until proven innocent that will help make other people aware of the member and also the accused member will try to solve the issue faster to save his/her rep.

There's no point in maintaining a list. If someone is caught spamming, they're simply banned. After they're banned, being on a list won't matter because they'll have to signup under a different username anyways.
