I've written a lengthy information-guide pdf and would like to direct the readers to a highly related affiliate service. Where do you think is best to place the affiliate link? A or B?

    A. Include a link to the service in the downloaded pdf
    B. Keep the info PDF ad-free and send a follow-up email a few days later focusing on the affiliate service.

(I know that an A/B split would be the best way to find out, but this is my first attempt and I'm trying to keep cost low)

From the 2 options above, which do you think would work better and why, based on your experience.

    Why not both?
I know a lot of the vendors who offer free rebranded ebooks to their affiliates with links throughout. You could just save the follow up email for a week or two later.

    This is what I do.

I have a landing page that has some content on it and links that go to the product but i also have a free report they get if they opt in.

The free report 100% of the time should have your affiliate link in it somewhere, but keep in "soft" like in the footer of each page or a few links that say "learn more" through out the page.

Since they opted in to get the free report they are now set up on my email series which is a mix of free info and no affiliate links and harder sells with my link.
