I'm trying out something that I've never tried before, I've signed up to a niche forum, and I've started a new thread asking "how to...etc", I've been monitoring the view count for 2 hours, and it's had 21 views.

So I was thinking, if I get bumping that thread with other accounts, my thread can stay at the top and keep getting non-stop views.

Only piece of the puzzle left now is, how can I answer that thread with a second account to drive traffic to my offer?

Should I link to an informational article? If so, how could I direct the traffic from that article to my offer?

You might want to look up "astro turfing".

    Example: http://digiday.com/marketing/wikipedia-astroturf-problem/

There isn't a non-obvious way to do this more than a few times on a forum, and you'll probably get removed fairly quickly. But you could do it a few times cleverly, sure.
