    Just read this article :

    Actual article link :

    Code:

TL;DR: Amazon is coming up with it's own Adwords/Adsense type of platform. I think what it is trying to do is pretty genius.

    What do you think?

And that competition will lower ad revenues thus lowering the amount paid to publishers. I still welcome the competition as you G has a real stronghold on that market and those that have tried to jump in that pool have been abysmal in their success.

Sounds really good, more options for IMers, more competition for G.

More than competition for G, it's a huge loss for Google because Amazon was one of the biggest buyers of their text links. Not only that now since advertisers have an alternative option they might move there.

I only wish that Facebook also jumps into this pool as it is one of the few companies which has the data, resources and engineering talent to pull this off.

I love this. Amazon won't flood the search results with top, bottom, and side ads splashed all over google any more. It's good for those of us in niches that Amazon covers too. I just did some searches and Amazon ads and image ads are nowhere to be found. Amazon was giving google 5 million dollars a month in ad money according to Mashable. Google lost their biggest customer. I hate Amazon, but I am really loving this.

I am glad to see G has come serious competition and I'm OK that it's from Amazon. As this pans out over the next 12+ months we're going to see a LOT of changes. Right now there could be a massive opportunity about to happen for us :)

Well, I'm pretty sure that the next Panda update will somehow affect Amazon .

Lol you read my mind. I am guessing this is going to happen too or maybe not cause that would definitely backfire on Google.

I'm dying to know if google will add a rule that says people can't have both Adsense and Amazon ads on their site.

Its good to know.. Adsense has been trying to bully small time publishers.

I hope they pay well and support all countries.
