So I have a site that was doing fairly well but got slapped with a manual penalty late this fall. Essentially I want to attempt to give the disavow and reconsideration request route a shot on it... BUT from what I've constantly read you need to delete a fair percentage of the flagged links you intend, otherwise Google tends to ignore you.

But here is the problem, this was something of a less than important side project for me and took the easy route of slamming it with public PBNs without a T1 filter I could 'turn off' when I wanted. And from what I can tell these are the links that need to be removed.

...so here is the question. Since most the link sellers didn't give full URL reports how the hell do I even go about getting the garbage removed? Especial since I've heard reports that Google wants to see as much as a third of all your listed bad links removed. We're talking hundreds of links.

    Thoughts?
