    Hello-

I am in the process of creating a bidding platform where people who want to sell their youtube channel can go to and allow others to purchase it, like eBay.
I will also be adding a feature that will act as the marketplace where people can post their channel and advertisers can come and places bids on videos with lots of views in order to get thier link placed in the description box.

I have read about people getting banned from youtube for selling their channels, but have also read that it is only illegal to sell partner channels.

Does anyone have any info on the likelyhood of people getting banned for selling/buying/renting out youtube channels?

    any advice will help. thanks

I've also heard that selling channel is prohibited (despite it's a common practice), but if I were in you I'd read the ToS of Youtube carefully before starting your project, or you risk to invest time and money in a marketplace with no customers nor advertisers.

I have determined it is in fact illegal.

    BUT

what proof with youtube have that the transaction went through.

On ebay you can see that the listing was completed and the transaction went through. but Can i make it so everyone can see them bidding but YouTube will have no proof that transfer of ownership took place?

Or can I make it so there are simply listings, and I act in private to transfer ownership.

I am trying to brainstorm here so any opinions, critique will help

Wouldn't your IP and location change any if you, for example, logged into your YouTube account while you were on vacation in Europe?

You will probably need to verify it then when they detect a new IP.

Vacations have to end and you'd go home.

If you sell your account, I'm assuming the seller is giving the account over and will NEVER log back in to the account. Which means that the IP will never show the original seller's IP again.
