These days i have seen a lot of deindexed websites for "Pure Spam" penalty. Some big earners that i personally know have these issues too. I am thinking that someone got a method for reporting websites to google, or google started picking up one these sites, but still there are some sites that are just fine and still strong. Most of the time people got almost all sites wiped out even if there is not any footprint or similarities between websites. All sites have CPA Locker so maybe that is the case, what do you guys say about this?

I also lost 3 PPD sites (all ranking #1 for a longer period) a few weeks back but I didn't get the "Pure Spam" notice. All sites were English tho, my foreign sites are still up and running good.

I agree, content locking needs to go. I've never actually completed any of these offers (always false promises, I want a free iphone not a chance to win one haha) , even before I was savvy to what was really happening as an IMer. They just looked like obvious scams. Find other methods to monetize and you won't get your sites blocked off the search results lol.

It's not just hack related sites, the number of "pure spam" (->de-indexing) and "thin affiliate" (->ranking drop to page 5+) manual actions sharply increased over the last months across all sorts of niches. Looks like they refined their internal algorithms flagging sites for the webspam team, I highly doubt it's a sudden flood of spam reports.

I know a guy that had the same site "pure spam" de-indexed under 2 different domains (no 301 involved that could have transferred the penalty) in the last 3 months. Maybe bad luck, but that's really fast, compared to the past.

@spectrejoe Don't think unique content (unique as in copyscape unique and perfectly readable) will save your ass. If the content doesn't provide additional value (like Google defines it), you are toast once caught, too.

I second @starkl. Content must provide value to the readers. So two key things to watch out for include spamming your site with automated links, and content that doesn't offer value to the readers.

It was reported a week + ago. Some even got it months ago. That was probably soft launch, and last week was a full force. It sucks to have a wipe. I just made a joke that someone in google wanted the gems so badly and got nothing (aka got cheated) he decided to write a line of code for this niche.

And to all who talk shit about content. Please do it somewhere else. I've said it and I will say it again, it only matters to their algo. If users decide to stay on my site for more than 30s (which is a lot in today's time), then it is not an issue, regardless if my content is f-ake or not. To that, F you google, your algo sucks. I've seen a tech niche dominating first page for all sorts of keyword like gtx 1080 with terrible content. It was so bad that I can tell which country is the writer from. It doesn't look spun, but the english is worse than spinning.

Another point is, we're talking about h-ack niche here. Nobody gives a F about content.
