Alright, thanks for reading first of all and I'm new here so be gentle but I've been lurking and reading for a while. Today I made my first venture with a clickbank product I feel confident in and seems to be marketable (30m page results, youtube vids from 07 with no views on the first page and decent traffic keywords 20k+). Heres where I'm lost, I want to outsource my SEO to a cheap vendor, I've seen multiple that I liked in the marketplace and sent emails pretty much asking the same thing I'm going to ask now. Whats my next step? I want to optimize my site that simply is the copied landing page. I don't know anything about XML, or or some other things I've been reading and I wanted to get reliable information.

So my questions are
1. What do I NEED to do on my part (I read a lot about XML, Titles, meta links) or what can I do on my part to increase traffic even slightly

2. What information do people need to do SEO properly when services are purchased? (Keywords? anything else?)

3. When I outsource SEO, it's all hands off from me correct?

4. I'm currently using Adwords Keyword Planner for keyword ideas, what else could you suggest?

5. I'm 18 and teaching myself from the ground up so please be helpful and not hurtful, unless I did something really fucking dumb :P

I know I'm asking for kind of a crash course for my specific questions, but if you help me get started in the right direction with some correct information I can continue teaching myself. I just have been reading so many shady/different articles that I wanted to ask people I "trusted". Thanks a lot guys!

EDIT: I see a lot of you guys like Journeys, if that's something you'd be interested in for helping me out, I'm down. Thanks again

First off, go and read the stickies in the white hat SEO forum.

Next go to TrafficTravis dot com and register for the free version, it's much better for keyword analysis than using Google's interface.

If you purchase a SEO service, say they build you a link pyramid, you only supply the URLs and the Keywords.

If you are running a wordpress site you can download an SEO plugin like All-In-One SEO or Yoast SEO, these plugins will do most of the SEO optimization, you just fill in the blanks.

If you have just copied the landing page there is little chance of ranking it above others for similar keywords, you would have to assume that there are quite a few CB affiliates running with that landing page (content) and as such there are probably some people that are more experienced in SEO than yourself.

I would advise to at least reword the content such that it is unique, that way you have a chance of ranking the site. Alternatively you may need to rely on generating traffic from sources other than Google.
