Hi and thanks for taking the time to have a read.

As the title says I am little for a little guidance to ensure that I am heading in the right direction with my YT channel.

A little background first. I have had a YT account for a while now and never did anything with it until about a year ago when I started posting review and unboxing video on some of the stuff I was buying (tech stuff). Some have done better than other. Over the past 3 months I have been averaging $50 per month (£33) which I am pleased and my channel is growing slowly on average about 20 new subscribers a month (currently 220 subscribers) I keep my review/unboxing to no more that 10 minutes and edit using iMovie. I know there are a few things that I can do to improve the quality of the video, one being using a camera with a mic input and also some more professional lighting.

My main questions are about promoting my videos when I have uploaded them. This is what I currently do.

Upload to TY then add to my FB, Twitter, Google+, stumbledupon, my own website and also my blogger. My video title and description have my keywords and I use tags.

Should I be using other sites to promote my video ? I am a little unsure on how I should be looking at maximizing on Keywords. Should I use goggle keyword tool and then see what is most searched for and use that as my main keyword ?

Basically I would like to know if there is more I can do to get more views and subscribers with out any tricks. I want my channel to grow naturally and I want people to like, comment and subscribe because they want to.

Thanks very much in advance for anyone that replies.

You can find a fb viral app and promote it. I remember those days I'm doing more than $500/day with this viral traffic.

To grow naturally you can co-operate with other tech forums that relate to the gadgets you are reviewing . Also you can post your reviews on websites that give detailed specifications about that particular device. You might be spamming but worth the try.

You can actually make ultra high quality HD content, a set for you to work on and unveil, insider information, cool shit you do with the stuff, and finally you want to promote it using views, bought subs, likes, and custom comments to make people want to subscribe to you. You can THEN introduce yourself to your niche communities and see if those people are more than likely interested.

How many views u want to gain with each of ur vids?? if u r looking to gain 2000+ views on all ur vids and a daily 5000+ views for ur channel u have to BUY ur way out. SHaring on those social sites would never help u in gaining 100s of views regularly . It's only trusted service providers who can give views to ur vids by sharing/seeding them on their secret blogpages/social networking sites. So if u wanna step up u should go big and start buying. I dont buy coz I use copyrighted 3rd party contents; so no chance of earning 4 me. But if ur vids have orignal stuffs u can always buy to further ur popularity and earning. U can use reddit also..that site used to give me some traffic in the early days and u can try finding some cool fb pages where admins would allow u to share ur videos. Hope it helps. check out me on youtube user/Only1indrajit

    Dont know
You have to market your video the way you would market your website.

#1 Do the proper keyword research before creating your video (I use YouTube keyword tool and Google keyword tool).

#2 Analyze your serps competition for your keyword by using a seo competition tool such as market samurai (You can sign up for a free trial here: http://www.marketsamurai.com/trial-extension.php).

#3. Create a high quality and interesting video (can't help you with that).

#4. Do on page optimization (see tutorial here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/youtube/573211-youtube-page-optimization.html)

#5 Upload your video and promote your video through social media channels. (You already know how to do this)

#6 You can buy high retention views and seo services to boost your rankings. (Search the bst threads for this.)

If my videos are monetised will not buying high retention views put that at risk ?

Also when looking for keywords am I just looking for keywords with high searches and low competition ?a

    Thanks for all your replies

Depends on where you get your views from and the retention rate. Large traffic spikes will most likely trip YT sensors and put your account at big risk. BHW has plenty of threads with lots of positive feedback for view boosting and services. Keep doing what you are doing as it sounds if you are getting success.

Thanks for your reply. I think I will skip buying view as the last think I want to do is put my account at risk.

Keyword research and what tag to use is one area I have been reading on and think I could improve there. I guess I need to put more time into my twitter, FB, squidoo sites as well as google+

Thanks again for everyone that replied. its given me food for thought :)
