I have a large number of product based websites and I just discovered that more than half of them are sandboxed. If I search with "site:url" they can't be found. I haven't done a lot of backlinking to them, some of them only a directory submit and they have 5-10 backlinks according to yahoo site explorer and they are a couple of months old. I really don't get it, I understand why some of them got sandboxed (a lot of sb & xrumer links) but most of them don't make any sense. Could it be that they are all on the same hosting account?

I understand that they are banned but I don't understand WHY.

3-4 month old domains with hardly any backlinks.

no content at all, just amazon products. They're amazon stores. But google can't ban you for not having any content can they?

Hmmm, I'd say that is why mate, I have a site with content AND an amazon store and its fine, actually there is just 2 articles on the site from many months ago.
Google can probably tell the difference between a site which gives value to the user with articles and stuff, and then there is sites with just an amazon store which is the same I suppose as a site that has just adsense ads and no content.
Start putting articles and stuff on your new sites and they should be fine.

Thanx, I'm going to re-setup the stores on new domains and backupped by a couple articles, I hope that will do the trick.

It's going to be hard to add fresh content to an amazon store. I'm going for the 1-2 articles for now, see how that goes.

    Update:

I added content to all my sites but they are still getting banned one by one. So now i'm going to try this: instead of stores i'm going to use wordpress blogs, add as much content as i can and spread the link to my store as much as possible throughout the articles. Good idea or not? What do you guys think?

My rule is to make content sites with ads instead of advertisement sites with content

If you put down some unique content with a couple well placed ads of some kind you'll make money

I heard sandbox isn't real and is just a myth.

    Ok I'm being sarcastic.

The OP made advertisement sites. Google wants high quality content sites.

That's why he got deindexed. Why should Google index an Amazon store site?

exactly, I only wish I knew that sooner, I've never read anything on this forum about amazon stores being banned.

I hope my idea of wordpress blogs + amazon addon store will work. If not, I'll abandon Amazon.

I'll update this thread in a couple of months to let you guys know how this will turn out.

Sorry buddy. It sounds like you had sites that provided no value to Google users and thus you got banned. I like your idea of doing blogs but don't do autoblogs. Also, at this stage you will probably be better off in getting indexed faster of you scrap your domains and start fresh. I have seen Google leave bad quality filter of for months and even years before. Focus on quality this time. I hope this helps.

you can do a google search for 'site:yoururl'

if nothing is returned, but you know google had indexed your site before then it is most likely deindexed/sandboxed.
