That's right, Pofecker's wife is in need of a job.

My wife is looking to do something Ebay related. She has a new business seller account and is looking to do some listing work or something similar. I don't dabble in Ebay selling, so I'm of no use to her. :p

If you have a job that fits the bill, drop me a PM or IM me.

No worries, it's a hard, sore subject ebay imho. Unless u have a great, great niche then it's only fakes, good replicas that do well. I did ebay for 6 years and i can tell you i tried everything legit.

    1. Not enough margins after fees.
    2. Always cheaper elsewhere (And ebay u want a bargain, not ness quality)

I however was looking into buying faulty electronics i.e pc's, laptops (if the description fitted) i would fix and resell

She wants nothing to do with cookie stuffing. I've tried to convince her otherwise, but who am I to blow against the wind?

If she doesn't want to do CS and only legit auctions DOBA is probably the easiest way to go...but she won't make very much money.

She needs to sign up for their 14 day trial and research some products. She'll find that people on ebay sell doba products for about $5 more than they cost on doba...then you take into account doba's DS fee, ebay's listing fees, ebays cut, and paypals cut...and she'll soon find that a better business venture would have been to find a charity and give the money away. Less work...same result.

    lol...

margins are paper thin on ebay. especially if you take paypal as your payment and pay that ridiculous fee too. and when you add in all the non-paying bidders, scam artists, and all other crap i'm amazed people sell on ebay for a living.

you can look on beltal.com for products. some of the dvd box sets you could make something on i believe, not worth my time for the effort required but if she wants to be legit it may be a start.

She may be willing to do something else, but she's said no to everything I've suggested.

Seriously, have her try it the legit way...just for research. She'll see how hard it is to make decent money.

only way to compete on ebay unless u have that golden niche is fakes/replicas period :)

Just do some smaller fakes, i.e i used to sell fake gorilla tripods !! EXACTLY the same but no logo which was tiny anyway

bought them for £1.50 a piece sold for £12 each. Bigger ones i bought for £8 sold for £25+

    Until paypal screwed me over

    Hey Pofeck,

Ebay selling can be very profitable even if you want to remain totally legit.

Drop Shipping is all she has to do, look at the drop shipping section and you'll get a list of different sites where you can drop ship products from, try looking for the ones with free shipping since these type products are the hottest on Ebay.

I advise her to start of with smaller products, stick to below $50 at first, use the BUY IT Now option since for new sellers auctions are not as successful and they arent good for small products cos they get snipped.

Try getting the products that ship internationally!

Now, if you have a decent investment then you can get in wholesale and then resell this will increase the profits significantly but at the same time, if you buy from online shops that provide free shipping then this wont be a very good option since you'll end up paying the shipping cost.

Stick to low margins at first, feedback is essential, so once that is built up then you can slowly increase.

The directories i recommend are doba, dhgate and dealextreme.

    Thats what i do!
