I know its considered bad etiquette to share other peoples websites here but as what they're doing is illegal I think its ok ;-)

Wanted to see how people are ranking for some massively valuable terms so I put in "poker websites" on Google.com. Nice little website comes up Checked out the backlink profile....hacked wordpress websites all over!

Thought I'd share as I thought you guys would find it interesting :)

Dat .edu for poker LOLOLOL. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. So that's how people get .edu backlinks. I was wondering how people can offer that service... now we know!

Why would you post someone's site? Admin please remove it... that's bad.

Because it's interesting for members. I don't think bhw is the type of forum to conceal the identity websites using illegal techniques anyways. But if it really troubles you have no objection to the thread being removed :-)

I think it's messed up they hacked a site to get backlinks... but if the original site didn't even detect the hack, then... idek.

It troubles me because it's poor etiquette, someone did a case study on one of my payday sites back 3 years and got it dropped a week later.

Would you want people sharing your sites?

I'm sure he learned his lesson after the poster above me posted his name, address, and phone number.. Also the mods took all the info out of his post

I had a software developed that we used. It created highly optimized sites with ridiculous overlays to any other site you want. It was an easy way to totally game the system with thousands of spam pages that looked so innocent. That, for me, was the blackest Blackhat I ever took part of.

But I learned something important from that.

Google doesn't think anything is white hat other than buying clicks.

But the real lesson is...

It's actually less effort to just put in the time to create good content that sticks - in my opinion.

If you're hacked and a single backlink is taken, how do you detect this?

What do you think about malicious code already placed in websites. Can't they affect your in anyway. Just a thought.

I'm editor of a seedling site and we get a "ping" whenever someone backlinks us... not sure if the same is true for outgoing. Probably not, but I bet there's a widget for that.

Not only that, but I mean... if ur article is edited to add a link, it'll show in the "recently modified" or something. I don't see how u can miss it unless u have a mega site with lots of people adding content everyday
