Hey guys, For those who doesn't know about it, there is a free tool which can check if your website has some 404 links. 404 pages for most of us would act as a dead end for a SERP's robot, as it would more likely bounce away from your website. Quick out of topic, it is better to have custom 404 pages especially for that matter, with your headers and footers so the robots can go to another page. However, 404 pages are generally to avoid of course. If you have a MNS or a salespage, it wouldn't be useful at all, but if you have a business website, SEO customers, or an authority website it is a must have. So here is Xenu's Link Sleuth an inner links checker. It is easy as hell (File, New, Paste your URL and go) It will check all your links to see if there is some navigation errors and even produce a report at the end. It is free and should belong in your tool arsenal.
