    Hi all,

just a quick few questions re amazon aff program.

    1. If I make an e-commerce website and list amazon products using my own theme and not mention amazon on my website but have the price etc on my website for a product. Can i have the "Buy Now" button/picture on my website redirect to the amazon product which is being advertised? which the customer can then purchase.

    2. If a customer visits my site and hops through to the amazon website. leaves the website and revisits within 24 hrs and purchases something from amazon. Will i get a referral payment for this sale?

    3. Is there a limit to how much you can earn per sale? i read somewhere that the most you can make per sale is £7.

    thanks,

    mike

    1. Yes.

    2. Yes.

    3. Not even close. Amazon pays a flat, tiered commission with certain exclusions (i.e. electronics, which caps @ 4%). Marketplace sellers may have different rules and requirements. But Amazon, with very few exceptions, doesn't cap individual commissions. And when they do it's typically a percentage cap.

    1. Yes. You have to mention them (the logo) only if you're using the API and displaying their data like product descriptions and stuff. More info in the help section on amazon aff program page.

    2. Yes, as long as he didn't clicked on somebody's else aff link within those 24 hours.

    3. No limit in the amount of money. If you sell a $10,000 diamond, you make a lot of money :) Limits are as percentage from product price and depend on number of sold products. Affiliate rate is between 4% to 8.5%. All electronics are capped at 4% regardles of volume u sell.

Everything is on their site, you should have looked there. Lots of questions answered.

I think computers (like a PC) is capped at $20 or $25 commission, I sold a few a while ago and was wondering why the commission on them was less the 4%.

Amazon.co.uk DOES limit you to a maximum commission of £7.00 per product.

    Amazon.com doesn't have a maximum commission.
