    Hey guys,

In 2011 I had an adsense site with about 5 pages of content, it ranked #1 for it's main keyword and brought about 2k visitors per month, but I let it expire after like a year because the Adsense earnings were crap.

My new site is in the same niche but much better and monetized better. I totally forgot about owning the other old Adsense site previously. I still have the 5 pages of content from the old site. While it ranked #1 it didn't have much authority or anything I think? Any way to check? I'm guessing Majestic or Moz?

The domain is still available. In Ahrefs it has Domain Rank of 40, URL Rank of 22, 33 backlinks, 33 referring domains. Some of the links when I tried to go to them go to parked pages, some are still good like Social Bookmarks.

19 of the 33 links are do f0llow. It looks like the links left pointing to the old site are Web 2.0, Social Bookmarks, and Article Submission (1 of the links is from GoArticles). The Web 2.0 links have spun content though.

The links are from Linkpushes from Linkpushing.net in 2011 or so, the service of a member here "BassTrackerBoots".

Anyway, should I re-rank this site and try to drive traffic to my review site, and also get a link from the site pointing to my newer money site?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

After checking 1 of the web 2.0's, it has 30 backlinks, but only 1 of them do f0llow, which is another web 2.0, which has another Web 2.0 pointed to it with the same thing going on..so like 3-4 tiers. So it should have at least some juice.

So should I buy this domain again and use it as a Tier 1 link pointing to my newer site? Seeing as the links and Tiers are already built for me?

How much would you have to pay for the site?

Big question that you forgot to tell is; is it still indexed?
When site deindexes on 404 it tends to lose most PR/Linkjuice.

If it fits with your current strategy, buy it. If not, it's nothing more than a $12 sideshow.

I just checked and it looks like the only thing indexed was the parked pages, and when I click those I get the 404 error "Google could not find".

    It also has no PR.

But wouldn't the fact that is a little aged, already has Web.20's, Articles, and Social Bookmarks pointing to it, meaning I wouldn't have to build those Web 2.0's, Submit to Article Director and get Social Boomarks, just blast them be worth it?

Once it is registered again would't it get a little juice from those links again?

    Thanks for the help.

You're right. After you index it again it will gain some juice back if the backlinks are still alive.
But in my opinion it's not worth the hassle to make a backlink out of it.

One thing you could do though is 301 it and xrumer those tiers2s.

you better forget it, you may have used old ranking systems that no longer work after Google updates, at least you can register it again and park it for a few time to check how it ranks

Okay, but if the old site would be considered a Tier 1 link to my new money site, and it has unique quality articles..does it really matter if the links pointing to the old site are not the greatest. And they are web 2.0, Artcles and Social Bookmarks.

Could you tell me what the advantage is over 301'ing it than making a site out of it and straight linking? I get a little confused when people talk about 301 technique. Thanks

I checked them and there are web 2.0's, article on sites such as GoArticles, Social bookmarks that are still live. The only thing is I have no control over the 2.0.

Of course you can go on mate.Anyhow you need to make fresh high PR quality backlinks again to keep the ranking steadily. So nothing serious to be thinking about the old web 2 links.Make new links to your site.and let the old web 2's provide you some juice. That's the way it should work.
