I was redirected by a good samaritan to post this on here.

Am i “legally” allowed to reverse engineer, completely rebrand and add ui/ux enhancements to mozilla addons but reuploaded on google web store? or vise versa, what steps should I take to do this? Could anyone link to some resources please

Yeah coders steal each others code all the time. Just don't look at their patent and don't patent it yourself and you're good basically.

Oh and don't use their images. Don't leave watermarks or make it obvious that it's the same code.
