    Hi

If I buy a domain lets say from namecheap. Do I actually own the domain or does it belong to namecheap? What is required to become my own domain seller?

Hope somebody can help me out with this questions.

If you buy a domain then you own it. There's nothing required of you to become your own domain seller except a place to sell your domains.

If you buy domains and then want to sell them for higher prices, then I'd recommend ebay, sitepoint.com, and sedo.com

I actually thought I want to buy domain names for clients. And then I want to make sure I own them and not suddenly the domain name company. Thanks for answering my questions. I just register one today with namecheap. And I need to say I really like the service there. Especially the have an API so I should be able to automatize the register process of a domain.

you gotta be careful though, if you buy a trademark domain, or a misspelled trademark domain they might take it off of your account while you're sleeping

Namecheap in fact is an enom reseller.
You can be an enom reseller by paying a fee, or prepaid xxxx as deposit.
    Go check enom dot com.
Using enom api, you can setup a website to sell domain, but then
domain reseller is a very competitive business in itself.

If you want to become a reseller take a look at directi. I've been a reseller for years and there prices are pretty good. Tech support is fine and I can't really say anything bad about them.

I had an enom reseller but didn't really like it and I seem to recall the costs where higher (it's been a few years).
