    I did a previous guide on growing your Twitter followers, here :http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...e-guide-how-grow-followings-twitter-fast.html but the company I referenced to buy real active Twitter followers from seems to have decided to stop providing the excellent service they provided to me and now basically just don't and so I would recommend not buying from them.

    Anyway, on to the guide. This time I will be focusing more on growing quality and easy to monetise accounts as that is what people tend to do in reality. I will split it into a FREE guide on growing your first 1-5 Twitter accounts at the same time and a paid guide using either the software Follow Liker or MassPlanner. Links to both softwares will be on the next guide which I will post ASAP. I am in no way affiliated with either of them or any software/companies that I suggest using in this guide.

    Picking a Niche

    When you are picking out your niche for Twitter it is different to picking your niche for a website or something else because the number of people inside the niche competition for the rewards does not have as large an impact. It does still have an impact, but the impact is not as noticeable because I am going to teach you how to make QUALITY Twitter accounts that will easily outshine other people's.

    If you are just trying to get into Twitter then I suggest picking a nice, easy niche which will be easy to grow. I will list a few easy niche's which are somewhat "evergreen."

    1. One Liners (If you have never made an account before this is perfect, simply copy all of these as your tweets http://www.onelinerz.net/top-100-funny-one-liners/, there is over 500 on that website.)
    2. Adult (This is easy to get content for an pretty easy to monetise)
    3. Cute Animals (This is not so easy to monetise successfully, but very easy to get content for and grow)
    4. Relationship/Teen (This, like cute animals is not so easy to monetise, but nice and easy to get content for and grow)
    5. Quotes (Same as Cute Animals, Relationship/Teen)

    Setting up an Account

    When you are setting up an account on Twitter is important not to skip over anything at all. Spend 15 minutes extra setting up an account and make it look really good because it REALLY pays off, not just for the follow back rate, but for trust and hence monetisation.
    Make sure to complete every single thing when you are making your account, fill in the Bio and write a full name capitalising each letter. USE CORRECT ENGLISH, that means fullstops, and correct punctuation. Just do it.

    Cover Photo:
    Making sure you have a good cover photo is very important. The website https://unsplash.com/ has a tonne of FREE high quality photo's which make perfect cover photos. Try and match your cover photo to your account style. For example if you are making a spoof pornstar account or a girl next door account try searching for "couples," pictures.
    In the case of creating a "one liners," account I went for a nice relaxing landscape found here : https://unsplash.com/collections/curated/105 for free, but I probably could have whipped up some fancy photoshop graphics and I would suggest you do that.

    Profile Photo: Don't skip on quality here, it is important to find a high resolution picture that is really striking.

    Bio: Make sure you write a concise and informative bio that is correctly written in proper English and makes sense. For female accounts use Emoji's that are relevant. If you are stuck and want a "Generic person," bio this website will generate them for you. http://twitterbiogenerator.com/

    Here are some examples of good and bad profiles.

    Bad: This is bad because there is no profile picture, bio, or even a cover photo. No effort has been put into this and no credibility will be received for it.

    [IMG]

    Good: This is a good account layout, the cover photo is relevant and nice to look at, the profile picture (although not very striking) is also relevant. The bio is concise and to the point, this layout is only missing a website link, we can assume that this account has not been monetised yet unless it has money tweets/DM's.

    [IMG]

    Content for an Account

    To schedule your content onto Twitter I have always (back when I used free stuff), used HootSuite, simply google them to find out about them. You can add 3 Twitter accounts per email address in the free version. Read their guide on scheduling content and use the scheduler to schedule your tweets as you upload them. You should aim for 3-7 tweets a day depending on your niche. You have to manually schedule tweets and it takes time, deal with it. Free stuff takes more work. If you cannot do this then you cannot earn money, go work at McDonalds or invest in some software to do it for you.

    If you are creating an account which you intent to promote a product through then you should provide content based on and around that product. All your content should be geared towards getting retweets. Retweets are worth much more than favourites. If you are a webcam model or promoting webcams then you should say "If this tweet gets 10 retweets I will do a webcam show tonight," rather than "If this tweets gets 10 favorites I will do a webcam show tonight."

    I think it is much easier to be shown good examples of something rather than me try and explain how to provide good content. Here are some examples:

    Example: https://twitter.com/AcneSkinSite

    This example is a mix of pictures and text tweets of useful content relating to the website they are promoting. It works well, but it takes some value away from the website as they are posting content from the website on Twitter meaning people don't have to go visit their website.

    Example: https://twitter.com/ItsFoodPorn

    This example is purely images of food, it is a very large account which has only been around for 4 years or so. It is very lightly monetised and has an email address to buy shoutouts/sponsorship (I assume) and a link to a snapchat.

    Example: https://twitter.com/RelatableQuote

    This example posts a mix of relatable pictures and text tweets appealing to a mainly teenaged audience. It has a connected Instagram and an email for sponsorship and so is also mildly monetised.

    Finding content to tweet is really easy. If you are promoting a thing simply google image search for that thing and see what comes up. If you are looking at creating an account which is aimed at something which can be considered beautiful, such as "Tigers," then when it comes to google searching for images I have a little trick for you.

    First go onto google images and type in "Tiger," the pictures which come up are good, but now search "Tiger Tumblr" and see the difference. Play around with the size of the images on search tools to only get images which are large in size and so will look good on Twitter. Don't skip on quality, it is simply not worth it.

    Growing a Twitter Account

    Growing a Twitter account for free is easy, but not very fast. You can only follow in a pretty un-targeted way. Simply select a mid-sized Twitter account in your niche (10-30k followers) and follow their followers. There is a free chrome extension for this, you can use it.

    I follow at this rate:

    120 follow per day for first week
    200 follow per day for second week
    300 follower per day for third week
    400... etc... up until 700.

    You may have to tweak this according to your account and methods, just be patient and don't worry if your account gets banned, this stuff happens. Do not become attached to your account, I know this sounds stupid, but so many people make a single account, grow it to 13,456 followers and then get it banned, quit IM and go work in McDonalds. It is a twitter account, man up and make another.

    Unfollow after 3 -5 days all those who are not following you back, again there is a chrome extension for this free!

    If you have any further questions or think I have missed anything then add me on Skype, the link is in my account description or you can add me under the username The.Natinator

    I hope this has helped those who want to get into Twitter, but don't want to pay. The payed version of this will be out ASAP.

    Awesome guide! Thanks for taking the time to create it. Everyone should read this guide before posting questions - it covers most of them.

    One addition: when on Hootsuite, you don't necessarily need to do the scheduling manually, just the very first one. You can record a macro of the process with iMacros, use a .txt or .csv with tweets as datasource and you're good to go. This way i scheduled thousands of tweets for free, which i wouldn't have done, if there was no way to automate it. :)
    Once they're uploaded, if it's needed, you can easily re-schedule all the tweets at once or one tweet at a time.

    HoNeYBiRD, can you share your script to automate this? Sorry not too familiar with iMacros.

    Ok, so it seems i effed it up. I looked for the macro and it turned out, that i don't have one for hootsuite lol, but i made one for socialoomph. Anyway, same purpose.

    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8820413 RECORDER=FX
    TAB T=1
    TAB CLOSEALLOTHERS
    SET !ERRORIGNORE NO
    SET !DATASOURCE_DELIMITER ;
    SET !DATASOURCE c:\tweets.csv
    SET !LOOP 1
    SET !DATASOURCE_LINE {{!LOOP}}
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=TEXTAREA FORM=ID:TweetAddForm ATTR=ID:TweetTweetText CONTENT={{!COL1}}
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=ID:TweetAddForm ATTR=ID:TweetTweettimeinput CONTENT={{!COL2}}<SP>{{!COL3}}
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=SELECT FORM=ID:TweetAddForm ATTR=ID:TweetCrosspost CONTENT=%vFCp8pfVfrDWrtg4kCvBrsCwSPvahwVm93AdnGAa
    TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON FORM=ID:TweetAddForm ATTR=TXT:Save
    To make this work, you need to be logged into socialoomph with a twitter account and be on the page where you can schedule the tweets. (I didn't include this url in the macro, because there's no need to constantly reload the page with every loop, it just slows things down.)

    For data source, you'll need to make a .csv file.
    1st column: 1 tweet per line, 2nd column: date, 3rd column: time. You need to use the exact same date and time format what is set on socialoomph, otherwise the scheduling won't work, because the formats will mismatch.
    Obviously you will need to name the file to tweets.csv and put it in the root of your c: drive or else edit the file path.

    Another important thing, you can see a long line of code in the macro in the line before the last: %vFCp8pfVfrDWrtg4kCvBrsCwSPvahwVm93AdnGAa, you need to swap this with the code of your own twitter acc, because it is different for every acc. How can you get the code? It's pretty easy, do one scheduling manually and the code will be in the address bar of the browser. You need to change this for every acc you want to do the scheduling with.

    Play the macro in loop. Loop count = the amount of tweets you want to schedule = the amount of lines your .csv has.

    Thanks so much for this wonderful guide. It has pointed out a handful of tools and tips. However i would appreciate it if you also said something about unfollowing. In your experience is good to unfollow, if yes then when is the good time to unfollow and what strategies do you use? Am new to IM growing a couple of twitter accounts, and i will definitely change some of them to follow this guide.

    Of course I am happy to answer, unfollowing is something you should probably leave for 5 days after your account creation and consistent following. When I as doing this using the above free method I used to, every 5 days, just bulk unfollow all those who were not following. This way you don't end up having to unfollow each day and risk unfollowing after just one day of following.

    Hope this helped! If you want any more 1 on 1 guidance hit me up on skype: The.Natinator

    Hello,

    Thanks for your post, Natty. You say it's easy to find content for cute animals.quotes, and that's true, but how do you monetize these sort of accounts? That's the question.

    Especially quote accounts.

    P.S. imgur has good images too.

    No problem, it is quite hard to monetize these efficiently, but you could go down the "MyLikes," style click through list of say "Top 10 cutest puppies ever," and add those venditte ads that popup on AdSense as most of the views will be though Twitter.

    Or if you are doing a specific niche of cute animals like "Cute puppies," you could build in an Amazon Affiliates site selling puppy supplies or a puppy care in a specific area, but that is more advanced and niche.

    I have 4 twitter accnts with more than 50k followers, What i did on my first few days to search for #followback etc etc and you will find many accounts who will just tweet follow every one who RTs. Also there are many justin beieber, Harry style twitter fans who will also do similiar things, you can get crazy amount of follow each day. .
