and guess what, now BP buys top Google & Yahoo result for "Oil Spill":
    Code:
    http://mashable.com/2010/06/08/bp-oil-spill-google/
"The satirical BP Twitter account is running wild with this news, publishing mock tweets like "We're paying Google a lot of money to make sure you only have access to the best possible info on the oil spill: our info," and, "By the way, we made it so if you google image search "oil spill" or "bp" you'll see some great celeb sideboob pics. #bpcares."" .........WTF is this company doing?

    LOL

it said that there is being spilled on average 1/3 of a barrel of oil a day

Compare that to 100,000 Barrels of oil per day with the current BP fiasco

I wouldnt mind swimming in the 1/3 barrel of oil sea - maybe even have a tipple, mix it with JD and instead of coke, have a bit of oil.

Thunderbirds seem more realistic than what I'm witnessing with these oil spills.

I just can't believe the government allow these Companies to drill without any real health and safety, the health and safety they had in place was nothing but a joke.

When I see those poor birds drenched in oil it makes me feel so angry to think these people are only interested in profits, and didn't give a damn about what they should do if it all goes wrong.

It was only after the disaster they had to start thinking about how to stop the leak, not before they started drilling.

Very well said... if this was in shallower water they could have stopped the leak but because the govt will not allow drilling in shallow water there are very few opportunities to stop this leak.

BP is definitely to blame, as is the whorish MMS (the government agency that signed off on the safety of this platform).

Two things are obvious from the disaster:
    1. If you're going to participate in an activity that is as profitable and risky as drilling for oil 3 miles under the ocean, you better have plan A - Q ready to go when shit goes wrong. If you broke it and cause damage, you pay for the consequences.
    2. The government agency signing off on these platforms cannot be friends with the owner of the platforms. When they're all doing blow together while blowing each other, disaster is the likely result.

Time to dip into those 50 something billion dollars in profit and clean up the mess you made.

Halliburton is to blame just as much as BD, they fucked up the cementing on the rig which caused the spill. BD just messed up the clean up process. Honestly its just a giant cluster fuck. I think the white house loves it too as there is less media attention to real issues, like the impending finical collapse and hyperinflation...

Filling up the gulf of Mexico with thousands of barrels of oil per day, destroying the environment, losing thousands of jobs, wrecking the coastline, and killing countless animals, plants, and other wildlife...

    ...definitely not a "real" issue.

And also yes, Haliburton are incompetent moneygrubbing douches also, but BP hired them to do the cementing.... BP pays the bill for the spill now, and can sue Haliburton afterwards for doing a crap job on the cementing.

I didnt mean to say the spill wasnt a real issue, I am just saying it takes the focus off other political issues like the finical system, which is good for the president...
