86% of Americans use their smartphone to shop

    A new report from comScore highlights the degree to which Americans are using their smartphones. According to data collected for July 2012, there was a total of 150.7 million retail visits to the mobile sites of America?s top retailers.
    The most visited mobile retailer was Amazon with 49.6 million visits. It was followed by eBay which had 32.6 million retail visits; Apple had 17.7 million. Rounding out the visits was Wal-Mart with 16.3 million visits; Target with 10 million visits and Best Buy with 7.2 million visits.

    But if the mobile user who wants to shop just gets directly to the popular site/shop, and rarely searching through Google, it is a big loss for affiliates.

    title is misleading, in my opinion 86% of Americans dont even know how to turn a smart phone on.

    (Not hating on Americans, i love them, but damn, some of them aint the brightest spark in the world)

    86% ?? Thats a hight %. Also grandparents and grandmothers use smartphones ??

    Remember Optimize your e-stores! I made the mistake of just throwing up my wordpress store and not checking it for mobile.... and then started advertising it to mobile customers. it was bad.
