Sounds like a good start @ThatNewGuy and that's a reasonable return. Most people don't earn that over 4 days. How many hours did it take you? What do you mean by "hard to keep up"? Do you mean it's hard to get the quantity?
So the past 4 days I've been focusing on flipping phones to try and keep my mind occupied.
Bought an iPhone 6s plus for 100$ fixed the screen for 25$ sold for $250
Bought an iPhone 8 for 450, sold for 675
Bought an iPhone 6s for 100 sold for 220
Just bought a Samsung galaxy S9 for 400 realistic sale around 575-600, listed at 700.
Total projected profit for the past 4 days - $450ish
This motivates me, it's hard to keep up though. Might switch my sales to ebay instead of all local. And offer more realistic prices to people so I get more inventory.
Great job bro. That little phone fixing talent worked out.
Good to see you're winning the small war.
If i were you, I'd scale up tryin to find more phonet o fix. Not sure how much time it akes but $$120 - $250 is a lot of profit if it's only for a 4-5 hour fix. Still far above the average job.
Yes its hard to find the quantity. Not everyone wants to let their phone go for pennies unless they need the money urgently. As sad as it is I think around christmas is the best time as people need quick cash. I try to buy so I will at least make 75$ on the flip so it pays my gas and time.
I've been in a similar, but an even worse situation than you. Couple years back, I found myself in $500k+ in debt, the majority of it was incurred from a business venture that ended with me being sued to the ground. During this time, I also lost all my business revenue and the majority of my business relationships were severed (by them).
I was literally down to just a few hundred dollars in my bank account, with this massive debt over my head. I ended up getting into a new line of business (SEO), hustling my ass off, not spending any time taking pity on myself, and making sure that every day, I improve on my business. Now, some years down the line, I'm making well within the $xx,xxx range, and the debt is quite manageable.
As shitty as you're feeling right now, just keep in mind that all around the world, there are people in much worse situations than you, that inevitably turn everything around. The only thing holding you back is your own self-will and self-pity.
Edit: Noticed you mentioned that you've been allowing yourself to gain weight. Stop that. If you want to turn your life around, especially financially, it begins with taking care of yourself. When I fell in my rut, I began hitting the gym, switching to a clean diet, and taking morning runs. Progress starts with your physical self. If you let your own body go, then you'll never have the motivation or the state of mind to grow any sort of business.
If you're depressed you need to worry about yourself at the moment. Go hiking, exersise, go on dates (tinder plus is the way to go) movies. something to help you get back into a healthy mental state before you start. just my personal thoughts...
