Hi,

This morning I was checking my Tumblr accounts and noticed that 75% of all my Tumblr accounts are banned!
Yesterday everything was fine, no bans.

I know that affiliate marketing on Tumblr is against there rules. Normally Tumblr bans only 1 or 2 accounts in a few weeks, why does Tumblr ban 75% of my accounts in ONE Night?
Somebody else expierenced this?

I don't know what to do, most of my traffic came from Tumblr...
When I build everything back up, I think Tumblr bans me again.

I used for every 2 accounts 1 private proxy, all accounts had different mail accounts.
What went wrong?

Must have been a link between them somewhere along the line

How many tumblr accounts did you have? You can try emailing them to get your accounts back, in the meantime just keep building them up again.

Yes that could be possible, I already must use a bitly url because my original url was blocked.

Ouch and Ouch. The worst part is the URL is blocked. I feel your pain OP, How are your promoting your affiliate? I'm assuming you're queuing all the posts and linking straight to your affiliate site?

OMG r u sewies? lyk wat da fuk tumblr let m3 sp4m your website and dont do anything. holy shit twumblerrrr

Yes exactly. From all post I link to my affiliate site with a bit.ly url. But I think that all my accounts are banned soon again because Tumblr knows my links.
I'm using also the same private proxies for creating new accounts, I guess that that wouldn't help me.

Maybe I need to search a new main source of traffic

This is what I do, it requires a bot though. I usually build up all the accounts following/liking and all of that. No links or anything just linking back to the original tumblr account source. When I'm done building them up I mass reblog a a picture from a main account (preferably your main tumblr account for your website) So in conclusion

-Build Accounts up
-Mass reblog a picture/affiliate product from main tumblr account
-Traffic going towards your site
-Profit?

It's probably the best way to avoid a URL ban and avoiding tumblr bans. That's just me though, nothing has happened so far after I started using this method

Nice method. I'm going to try this. Thanks for the advice!

Actually it doesn't have to require a bot. You can have 10 accounts with thousands of followers and manually reblogging your site's content. My apologies. :P

haha doesn't matter. I actually have a bot. But I already have created a big amount of Tumblr accounts. The only sad thing is that I have to build them up with followers again :(

You should not make EVERY post have your affiliate link, only 3-4 a day and you will be fine

I don't know if I'm the exception to the rule but I'm sending traffic to my own hosted domain. I have a click through on the picture as well as a link in the description in all of my posts now. I haven't been banned yet. Do you suppose it is different if I'm sending the traffic to my own site? Or does it not matter if it is aff link or private site?

I tried both ways. Tumblr blocked both links( private site and affiliate) at my accounts, and a few days later Tumblr blocked those accounts. So I can not really say which way is better.
When I started this method I had an Tumblr account which pointed to my private site, that account least for months. But when I do this now I can be sure that my account will be banned very soon.
Tumblr knows my links...

Very smart method. I usually use different shorten links(bitly, goo ...) for all my pictures.
