    Hey guys,

i decided to recover my site.

A little bit late i know, lol.

I was ranked on #2 for a big money keyword and got punished by mr penguin.

I analyzed lots of my sites and sites that came back from others and saw that the anchor text is really the main thing here for me.

So i want to recover my site now and got tons of generic anchor texts.

Can i just go for a bunch of fiverr links like for 50$-100$ as it would be very expensive to balance it out, i have over 6000 Links pointing to that site. This is actually shown in the backlink checker, not the amount i have built, that would be way more.

I do not want to spent lots of money for high quality links to balance that out as i have not much money yet and i think it is a numbers game when it comes to balancing the anchor text or not ?

Please give me some advice on how you would handle that or how you have handled it and got your site back.

The answer to your question is briefly answered here - http://www.searchenginejournal.com/post-penguin-seo-link-building-the-naked-url-truth/.

It's difficult to delete and when you delete links you are likely to loose your ranking.

The best thing is to be able to calculate and figure out the exact percentage the search engine needs to be natural
because it's just an algo thing and not a human editor or penalty.

I suggest you writer lots of unique articles and use AMR to distribute them, use wikis, web 2.0, press release, media sites e.t.c and use your naked URL 90% and generic keywords about 10% for the time been and see the changes.

I suggest researching some of your competitors in the serps for the terms you were ranking on or are trying to rank. Look at their ratio of exact match anchor to generic or universal anchors and try to emulate. Also helps to analyze the ratio of blog links to social to articles, etc. Google seems to target different terms and niche a more than others so there is no "Golden Ratio" to go by. The main thing is that you do not want to be an outlier in the serps when it comes to unnatural text. Hope that helps and good luck on the recovery.

Start a new site. If you have thousands of links, you are going to have to build tens of thousands of new links. Why not point them at a new project?

I have tried to do what you are doing, and have not recovered much ground. It is easier and cheaper, to start over.
