Alright. I get home today to discover that 7 out of my 9 currently active tumblr accounts were banned. They were each made using a different private proxy and post frequency was at once every 4 hours and 10 minutes. The only way they were linked was by the images being set up to click through to my money site. My question is would that be the issue with them being mass banned? I also made sure to clear all browsing data before switching accounts and register the accounts specific ip into fire fox. Really sucks because I just made payment for my proxies this month too :/. Would love to hear someones opinion on this that has experience with dealing with tumblrs crap. Thanks in advance. Oh, I forgot to add that I was following the max 200 accounts per day. Would that might have caused this to happen?

Build another 10 accounts, and take a note of every assumption and possible thing that could have done this. Then split test that data on each of the accounts separately. Post back your results about what you find.

Well, I saw a nifty little idea in another thread. I shall first try to play on the heart strings of support staff and send them emails pretending that I don't know what I have done wrong and see if they reinstate the accounts. After that I shall go get me some more proxies and make me up some more tumblrs :p. Hopefully they buy it and reactivate them.

You can contact Tumblr support and ask for an appeal and state their reasons strong enough to back you up on why you should get your account back. It differs from people since there are times that they will respond to you right away while others just don't have the luck and won't receive any reply. If you think there's no chance of getting your account back, you just have to move on and use others like Hubpages or better yet, buy a domain and hosting package and make your own site.

    It might be your content.

Two days ago I used just 3 accounts to test something in a ton of countries (like 12). These accounts are still fine even though I was logging in and posting (just images not spam) and doing various things.

Also, don't follow 200 a day (if you are that is) - follow 190 then 163 then next day and then 187 and so on.

Thank you all for the helpful advice. A lot of it was my own fault and jumping the gun thinking that the coast was clear and doing spammy techniques thinking my blogs were safe after a month of being live. thank god not all of them died. I'm letting the ones that are still alive simmer and gain natural followers now until I figure out a method of not getting them all banned. I've been researching a lot of posts that zenoglitch has made and it has been helping me realize my failures of understanding how complicated it is to keep your ban ratio to a minimum. I shall test some of his methods in my future tumblr ventures. I have been sticking with semi adult activity for the majority of my start up in IM and after reading a few threads it has me worried that I might be barking up the wrong tree and have to find a solid niche with longevity. We shall see I guess over the next few weeks.

Oh, and P.S.: Update from trying to contact support staff to get accounts reactivated. I tried multiple styles of emails. From being completely stupid saying "I tried restarting my computer multiple times and my tumblr account don work." to emails with proper punctuation and spelling. Guess which ones got a reply saying i got banned for spamming? The grammatically punctual emails. Still haven't got a reply to the other emails yet but that's just the update of my playing staff method for unbanning.

One thing you should NOT do and will result to a ban is putting faking tags on an image.

For example if you upload an image of... let's say your car.. you can't have tags like #sexy, or miley cyrus or PSY or whatever.

This will result you to a ban. It is also VERY annoying. I know this for sure because in the past i helped tumblr clear out some blogs. It was a guy who has spammed funny ninche with thousands of blogs leading back to his money site. I was trying to find some funny pictures and all i was getting as result was his pictures. And they weren't funny at all.Tumblr mail me a t-shirt (lucky me :p) for my help and they banned most of his accounts. I don't know what happened after that. I stopped using tumblr.

One of my accounts banned as well, but I'm really not bothered cos I wasn't using it and was planning giving it away here anyway.

It was an adult blog, the strange thing is that my other adult Tumblr blog (a more successful one) is fine, even though I used the same bots, same IP, same type of images, most of the same tags etc.
