It's probably still there...can you search for it on your hard drive?

Just get a tissue. There are bigger problems out there.

Edit: break something, preferably a glass bottle.

Within Windows do a search on your HD.

In the search you can specify between which dates it should search.

So when you know at least one day you worked on them something should show up.
When you find one file you probably have them all if you saved it all in the same folder.

There are software programmes out there that can recover deleted files....do a G search and see what you can find...

    EDIT
    This is freeware...try this...

    Code:
    http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collection/collid,1295-order,1-c,downloads/files.html

Try some data recovery software from cnet.. From now on, get some type of passcode software or automatically backup files to a zipdrive of some sort..

open up photoshop and go on "file - open recent" and it might be there.

If it is, simply go to "save as" and it should be the last directory you saved stuff in, so it'll goto where it was saved.

If you saved it with your landing page etc. then you may just find them!

Google Recuva. its a free recovery software that I have used and it works. Obviously do a search on your computer first as they may not have been deleted

    it was probably "THEM" ...

    [/x-files music]

in such cases i use a tool called "agent ransack" and search my whole PC for the file.

    I bet you're right.

On XP, I don't use "My Documents" under "Documents & Settings".
I created a "My Documents" under the root drive and save everything there. Now and then, I install a new program or a current one burps, and it "hides" things from me by defaulting to some odd folder inside "My Documents" under "Documents & Settings".Like someone mentioned, run a search on the root drive for the name or part of what you remember.
