lol so I list my galaxy s2 for sale on craigslist for $170 earlier, now I get a txt from a guy wanting to send me $270 through paypal but it will need to be shipped to his cousin in nigerian, (im no newbie to Nigerian scams or any kind of scam for that matter) once he said paypal the jig was up, so i decide to play along, I tell him I have 2 galaxy s2 for sale and if hes interested I will sell them to him for $500, he offers me $650 and now is constantly messaging me to give him my pp email lol

how should i keep him going

Even if he sends upfront, which he probably will/would it's going to be from a stolen account which that person will dispute the charge through their CC or do an un-authorized claim which paypal will grant the account owner if the payment was sent from a different IP address than it normally is.

Believe me, I've been accepting paypal payments for years and have seen it all with the scammers and people filing disputes. Getting the payment as gift does not put you in the clear completely.

Make a fake pp account... have him deposit it... withdraw it to a GreenDot credit card (by means of direct deposit) leave the account alone..... You have money!!!

I have played along with those on craigslist a couple times. I gave an email that wasn't attached to my PP account, and they just send you an imposter Paypal "payment received" email...hoping that you'll just see that email and ship the item without logging into your PP account lol.

Yeah.. not such a great idea i think. Scammers' money is pretty volatile I imagine. Unless you can get T/T payment, I would just forget about it.

    edit: or western union

He WILL send you money from a hacked Paypal account, ask you to withdraw it, send some and keep the rest. DO NOT fall for this shit, I'm super red-flagged from Paypal because I kept scamming a guy like this and ended up withdrawing $2,700 from my Paypal account to my bank account and then closed my bank account.

But in the end you'll end up looking like the one who hacked the Paypals and will get red-flagged. I haven't used Paypal in years. Fuck them anyway.

I strung one of these guys along for about 6 weeks one time. Told him my name was Peter Parker and in the end I had him addressing me as Spidey. There is a guy in the UK who has a website that documents his interactions with Nigerian scammers, pretty entertaining.
