Nice try Matt Cutts
Nope, I'm not Matt Cutts. A total newb here learning about buying links.
He means paying another webmaster/website for them to put a backlink on their website to his website.
Like this is a backlink to Google, from BlackHatWorld.
lmfao why is this what I saw when I clicked a search result here ahahahaa.
you outgrew this place and flaky methods like that long ago. produce a legit mainstream product and sell it. if you need ideas, just make something you already buy online. lol. manufacture it and sell it. yourself.
anything less is smoke, mirrors and hamster wheels at the end of the day.
they tell you that when you first start this shit.
thats the *outer space* and the final boss haha. when other ppl are worried about backlinks, call centers, orm, opt-ins, opt-outs, inboxing, whitelisting, blacklisting, script writing, page optimizing, persona management, smtp, spintax, trend forecasting, and machine learning python scrapers just to earn 15% of YOUR recurring sale, you'll stop having to work. if you'll stop.
Thanks a lot for this, very good read . I finished reading the whole post and I am happy I did . I have been reading for some days now and I think I will read more I really thing just read with clear mind set without have a pre-decision in your mind you give you a clear view at the end of what you need to do to start few steps ahead from others .
Your story is very interesting. Maybe you can be an amateur writer! D:
Thank you for sharing. It's very useful!
it looks like a boring story at the beginning, but i manage to read it all. And the boring story become a good lesson for me.
thank you for sharing, i've learned a lot from your story
Is the site still performing @daveguy ? (I also sent you a pm, I hope you have time to answer).
Many thanks for your thread, very inspiring!
Enjoyed reading it, very satisfying.
Ladies and gentleman, this is the info that you need about offpage SEO. You dont need any other oompa loompa SEO infos from "gurus"
Howdy ya'll. Site is still going strong. Growing more and more every month. I'm done building it. There is nothing else to write about and I rank for all of the keywords I want to rank for. My strategy hasn't changed. I email websites and offer money to get a link. Simple enough. It simply works... for now.
My new goal is to work on my second site to diversify. I would like to quit my job and travel the world when my lease is up in December. Not comfortable doing that until I have 2 sites making money in different niches. If you havn't gone on vacation in a while, I suggest going somewhere exotic if you can. My trip to Thailand in May of 2017 gave me the motivation to do all of this. Once you get a taste of the good life, it gives you something to work towards. If you never taste it you won't know what you're missing.
Oh, also, I just spoke to a CPA and he advised changing my LLC to an S-Corp to save thousands on taxes. Just thought I'd throw that in here. I don't know why he was recommending it yet, but he was excited to tell me that I could save thousands. Me too
Single member LLC = passthrough entity. Means for taxes you are a sole proprietor and thus pay self-employment taxes (around 15%)
S Corp = You have to pay yourself a "reasonable" salary, but the rest could be paid as distributions without self-employment taxes. You need to (or could do it yourself) get a payroll service for your salary payments.
You can change next year until Feb , or if you opened your LLC less than 60 days ago (need to check on that) then you can elect S corp treatment simply for tax purposes.
Anyway, just my 2cents, no tax advice
I really like listening to stories of people making semi-passive income with websites . Currently I'm doing service based business but I'm planning to start a website and rank it but the problem with website + seo is it takes time and huge patience to rank and bank while service based business can get me quick cash + long term client relationship. The only problem is I can't go for a long vacation unless I have virtual employees taking over the business when I'm away.
Gees, any advice for me?
Yah, service industry is all well in good. I've worked with a bunch of clients. I've also pitched a bunch of potential clients for business. I just don't like that model. Feel like I'm always trying to prove myself. Making monthly reports and reporting on no changes because they don't have the budget to do good SEO. At this point I'd only work with clients that are willing to pay for Google Ads or Facebook. Not worth the time and effort to learn someone else's business and get them free traffic through SEO while they reap all the benefits. I've had a few offers like this recently and what I do instead is offer to build websites that I own and sell them the leads.
I think everyone, myself included, needs to keep hearing how you can’t get rich quick on the internet. It takes a lot of work, thanks for the post. I’ve honestly learned quite a bit just scrolling through your comments on the thread.
Thankz. I needed that
Exactly the reason why I stopped doing SEO for clients and never looked back.
Inspiring. I'll follow your suggestions and start a journey thread soon.
Do you have any example how backlink on homepage looks a like. Its a bit funny and noobish, but if someone have news type site, your link will be rolled out, except if webmaster placed your link on sidebar ?
How do you sell leads? Do you join affiliate networks or do you negotiate and work directly with the companies?
Separate names with a comma.
