5000+ hits a day on movie site - need monetizing advice!

Hi all..

I run a movie site which is pulling in 5000+ hits a day.. i'm currently using the cpa lead gateway to unlock content and a few adsbrite ads.. but only make about $2-$4 a day..

Can anyone suggest any alternative monetizing methods?

You're getting 5000 hits per day and only making $2-4 per day? You're doing something very wrong. Either that or the traffic isn't targetted
 
Thats weird 5000 unique and 2-4$:eek:
Try some PPI maybe thats convert better for you (zango have a gateway)
 
This was my first attempt at any thing like this.. looking at the hits tho 80% of it comes from google searches and the rest for youtube.. so its the right traffic for sure..
 
If your only getting $3-5 per day, eiter your getting shaved like crazy, or the traffic isn't converting as it's probably not targetted, where is your traffic coming from?
 
Change up your gateway. Try adscend media or use a codebreaker script with offers from other networks and fake the referrer using Brad's.
 
dude your completely lying , your website doesnt have backlinks and compete.com says they cnt find your website for insuficient traffic...
 
I totally am not!.. I wouldn't come here seeking advice on complete bullsh*t - where would that get me?

After looking in to the website I also find it very hard to believe that it gets 5000 uniques a day. All I found was 2 youtube profiles that would be sending 100 visitors a day maximum I would think.

Also, even using the CPAL.E.A.D gateway, it doesn't matter how untargeted the traffic was, 5000 unique people being confronted with the gateway per day should never equal $4. Unless all your traffic is coming from here:

I know why! Your site is set up wrong. If you click on a movie it doesn't take you to the page with the movie, it looks like you're not even locking pages with videos on them. simply linking to pages isn't good enough. especially when the link gets pushed to the bottom of the screen because of a shitty gateway.

get some videos up on the pages you've locked and your earnings will skyrocket.
 
Right so all your saying is to embed the movie players on the post page and thats it!?? :confused:

You should be locking pages with the movie on it not pages with links. People won't be motivated unless there is a video.

I think you would even be more motivated to complete offers if you saw a video of a movie you really wanted to watch compared to if you saw links. You would probably just move on to look somewhere else.

So yes an embed movie player
 
I got something out of your thread - totally off topic. Thanks given. BTW, I did not notice the gateway on your blog, but all kind of ads on those crappy websites you use for links - are they revenue-sharing with you? why don't you host your real movies? users don't complete surveys and crap as they did before - you need to put a spin on the method to convince them.
 
My 600-1000UV days made me $35-$60 a day with CPA Lead...

I doubt the traffic is targeted, also stuff Adbrite it will annoy users more than the gateways. Get rid of the talking guy and have an embed video or the links behind the gateway - it will convince users the movie is actually there.

it depend to where your traffic come from but you should make more, get ride of Adbrite I don't think it worth, use WP Guardian, and add some CPM network banners to increase the revenue .
 
5k hits from where man. I mean, obviously your site is not getting that the natural and healthy way which I call content. Maybe from some ghost source which asks you money to send zombies over. If you don't know what a zombie traffic is here's an example: digg! People that don't read the web looking for something that you have, they simply scan it or worst, they go there because they get 1 cent from someone who billed you 2 cents for a visit. I suggest honesty in return for some good advice from this community.
