Tomorrow I'm going to invest 500$ in facebook ads.

I have monetized my web with google ads.

Ads will be shown to USA people only that like sites like viralnova, upworthy. Since the content is the same

What suggestions can you give me.

try first like 50 bucks
check results profit/spend
and then invest more.

Split test your ads with a lot of image variations.

I imagine your adsense cpc will be low with such a niche, I wish you luck overcoming that with Facebook ads.

Test multiple ad sets with less than $5/day you would get a couple of wining ads (more engagement and Organoic>Paid), boost those wining ad set and scale up your ad spending accordingly. Do split test (country/state, Diff age groups, Internet activity, narrow down interest) to get an accurate winning audience sets.

5 ad set for each one , with different targeting options ( $5 each )

second day scale or copy the wining ad set with higher budget

Don't throw it on one add male multiple ads and split test! Then pour money into the best ad!
