I have $500 to start split-testing and marketing my website. Is $500 enough?

Im promoting products from markethealth. I'll be driving visitors from facebook to my website through the ad where they will read a review and then purchase the product. Am I doing everything okay? I've seen people promoting landing pages which requires their email address. Should I skip to email marketing and building a list?

First of all let me say it's nice to see somebody who's not saying I have 50 bucks is that enough to buy advertising for a product or service.

    That's quite refreshing.

If it were me, in that particular niche, I'll be working on building a list. That demographic typically looks at a variety of different things over a period of time and if you have a targeted list that you build I think long-term you make a bunch more cash.

I'd be doing that and not looking back and on Facebook you can have tremendous success building an email list with that cash heavy demographic in mind.

    Thanks.

I thought about Email Marketing and building a list. I'm starting out as an affiliate marketer, havn't had my first sale yet. I think I should Email Marketing for my future goals and focus on getting some product sold at first. But how do we monetize an email list? Send them newsletters with affiliate links occassionaly? Or is it just the first time they signup when we have to get something out of them.

I've spent some time working on my website and filling it with posts and affiliate links, I still don't know if people have marketed through facebook to their website as a landing page and banked some sales. I've only seen people marketing with lists, do they?

I do both and they both do very well.

You can get a thousand people a week to sign up for your list with the right play and you can be in their pocket for ages.

Your best bet for the list is using aweber and setting up a series of emails to them.

    1) Welcome email with no link to sell anything but a link to your site in the bottom.
    2) 4 days later another informational marketing email telling them that they have an opportunity to get your product at a discount using XYZ coupon.
    3) A week later some more informational marketing with a link.

And so on and so on.

It is almost literally a set it and forget it process once you have your emails written and in place. You'll do some tweaking as you move forward and see what works but you'll retain the majority of the people on your list for ages and if you market properly they will be buying Christmas presents for your children for years to come.

My only advice is to AVOID having to promote products that will require cloaking (weight loss, muscle, wrinkle cream, or any "re-bills"), then you'll have many more problems than you wanted, trust me on this.

Thank you so much. One last thing, do you think it's hard to get a low cpc? How much is yours usually. How can I improve mine?

I'm promoting products for the niche acne. My whole website is based on skin care products. What do I do?
