I'm developing a new site in the finance niche, provide quality unique content. My monetization method is adsense.

I have a budget of about $50 to market the site (backlinking etc). What services should I buy?

    I don't want spammy services. I want quality, long-term market-building services.

    Is $50 too low?

50 $ is quite low , but to kick start index your site , do the following :

    1. Socialbookmarking
    2. Directory Submissions
    3. Xrumer Blasts
    4. Scrapebox Blasts
    4. Manual High PR Blog Commenting (Quite High Price but good)

Build a linkwheel ($5) and then blast each spoke with forum profiles/scrapebox/xrumer etc. ($45). Heard this is the best way for a new site.

If you do those blasts on your site too early, it may get sandboxed.

I'd donate it to a church or a charity

as $50 to promote a website is not going to solve world hunger.

If you want "quality market-building" services, $50 isn't going to get you very far to outsource all of your SEO.

If it were me, I'd manually build a network of Web 2.0's, then take half the $50 and buy a press release distribution on wiredprnews (or spend the 100 bucks for one on prweb if you can up your budget) and the other half spend on fiverr gigs to blast your web 2.0s and social bookmark your money site.

If you don't want spammy, you are going to have to put in some manual effort yourself. Write great content for your site, for your Web 2.0s, and make great comments on sites like Zerohedge and other financial sites, guest posting, etc.

I would suggest you take a little time, make a great branded logo, and go through and create high quality profiles and channels on YouTube, Twitter, uStream, SlideShare, Scribd, Flickr, etc. just to establish and own your brand. Get a few high quality videos up on YouTube.

If you're getting into serious website building as it appears you are since you're monetizing with adsense. Then I suggest you learn how to linkbuild / promote the site on your own first.

Don't just throw money at people, you'll get scammed. Spend a few weeks learning the in's and the out's, and youll be much more succesful when you can do the work yourself more efficiently since you'll work harder on YOUR site than some random guy you met on fiverr.
