Give me a break. This guy doesn't know anything, he's just making up stuff as he goes along, just like he does when he exlplains how to rank videos. And he wants people to help them to get their Paypal unbanned because they released a shitty product (which they totally lied about by saying they used it to rank their videos when you can tell that they used all sorts of different types of links, including high pr blog posts) because tons of people wanted a refund after they realized that they bought a piece of crap. I love how this guy all of a sudden has a magic formula for ranking videos a few days after the change.

Possible they are targeting fake views, likes and comments? Many people/sellers use same source like addmefast, etc.

Another question I ask is what is your guys "backlinks to views ratio"?

i didnt have any fake views or comments, i had about 5k links and around 28k views, video upload november 22

My video that I use to test with got deindexed yesterday, I had a mixture of links, used blackhatlinks.com for blog comments, socialbookmarks, Magic submitter, PBN links so a wide variety of links and kw diversity, although my main kw was 25%.

I dont think it has anything to do with anchor text but link platforms to be honest, just saw a video with 3 anchors, main is 85% and only PBN links and ranking strong!

Lets wait and see what other say, buy I do think money-mindset is to early to make comments like they have done.

Share your strategy and see if we can find some common factors.

Any news on this? When I search G for any info related to this youtube penalty, the only thread that pops up is this one here. Really surprised no blog or SEO site picked this up, they usually do even when there's only slight SERP fluctuations...

I'd say it's just a tweak on YouTube's invicibility to SPAM links penalty.

It's bound to happen considering a lot of guru's started promoting spamming YouTube to rank on page #1. It is only affecting a small number of poeple that spam YouTube specifically for SEO so it hasn't been picked up by the main SEO publications yet.

Thanks for that Benny. Yeah, no one REALLY knows what's going on. I think I can rule out link velocity and anchor variation as the problem. It seems to be an unnatural spam penalty as I had one video slapped to page 6 that's now back to page 1 (using site:youtube.com) having done nothing other than wait.

Hmm, that's interesting. I'm just about to start uploading and ranking some new vids so we'll see how it goes. Are you just using GSA straight at the video whatrat, or are you using buffers, like web 2.0's, and then just spamming those?

Well, tiered link building is shit to be honest. Considering that this is pretty much churn and burn now... doing it slowly with tiers and then getting penalized anyway... I think I will just keep spamming to be honest. It's easier anyway and this penalty seems pretty random so...

I tried spamming it but my video is only ranked in the "Videos" tab. I can't see my video on "Web"

What do you think is the problem?
Do you guys still consider the PR? I mean, is it okay to have unknown PR backlinks to your videos? Or do you only recommend having PR above 0 or 1? I know in websites, it's very important. But in YT videos, is it still important nowadays? Thanks in advance!

Hey mate, honestly wish I had some better answers for you, but at the moment I still don't know what triggers the penalty. As I mentioned before, I cant see any evidence that this is anchor-related. My advice is to try and make your link building look natural and high quality. Where is your video ranking in the 'videos' tab? If its there for the keyword, you just need to continue building links to it and making it appear more relevant. There's nothing wrong with having PR 0 links, you could have some really relevant links that are only PR 0, but in general yes, you should look to build high PR, relevant links from good diverse sources to improve your rank. As a general rule, I think treating your video MORE like a website (not completely) will serve you well in the long run. I hope that helps a bit.
