I'm new to IM. This will be my first step into IM and my first niche site.

I purchased Long Tail Pro about a week ago after some good advice here. It took me a while to figure out how to actually use it (again, with help from the people on BHW). Just when I thought I was getting nowhere in terms of finding my first niche keyword, boom. I found a 3 piece term which had great stats and met all the criteria I've been taught to look for. I purchased the EMD from namecheap last night and, after that, got little sleep. So many ideas bouncing around my head but I still arrived at "now what?".

I'll just spit out a few questions I have before I ramble. Let it be known that I'm still undecided if I am going to do an AdSense or affiliate site, or, a combination.

    1. Using Wordpress for my site - do you suggest 5 articles?
    2. Should each article (including the title) be optimized for my chosen search term?
    3. How in depth should each article be?
    4. Should there be any static pages?

I'm a bit fuzzy on this because one of the things I couldn't -until now- grasp was using Long Tail Pro to analyze the google top 10. I realize that google ranks the PAGE and not the SITE, so that's where I am wondering what exactly I am trying to rank using my chose search term. If I have no static pages, am I trying to rank just one blog post or the entire site?

Thanks in advance! On my way to my first dollar!

wait you purchase a software without knowing how you were going to profit from it and you did no research on how to use it and how to gain from it. man the first thing first do some research. educated yourself.

    1. You didn't say, but I'm guessing you want to start a blog. No matter what the niche are, the content you put inside is one of the most important things you'll do. So, if you are starting, 5 articles is fine, for now.

    2. Yes.

    3. At least 1000 words.

    4. Yes. At least the mandatories. Privacy policy, Terms of Service, contact...

Thanks! Yes, it will be a blog. I've created many sites in the past (none for the sole purpose of IM) and I've always used Wordpress. This gives me some solid guidelines to follow. I wasn't positive what HAD to go into a site and what was suggested and, with Google's EMD crackdown, the last thing I want is to go down the wrong road ESPECIALLY before I've even entered myself as a contender.
