So what do you think? I don't think it will make much of a difference or put much of a dent in googles traffic at all. I think google is already making some changes I think we have all seen this if you have sites up. IMO this is do to bing, but still dont think its much to do over nothing.. There has already been SEs to implement similar ideas without much change. I think google is just too big now, kinda like ebay. Any one else?

Hmm. I think Bing is alot more option filled and has many more conveniences. Once people start to realize this they might turn over to it.... but this might not be for a long while. I personally prefer Google because it's a lot simpler and faster.

honestly bing will live off the hype of being new for awhile, but unless they can find a way to compete with google's search and indexing algorithms they'll fall behind and just be another yahoo and msn.

they'll be big, and profitable maybe, but knock google off its pedestal? probably not.

Yea I agree the hype will get them traffic for a month or so. Then we won't hear of it anymore.

I don't know about you guys but the whole reason I even use google is because it isn't annoying option based.

I like the pretty pictures on the search page:)

I don't know, but it seems to be picking up some of my sites from...how do I say it...cached pages of when my AdW*rds was on a page...cause there is no link when I go to the pages...just AdW*rds ads.

Bing does seem to favor my domain names more than goo*le...several show up as first result whereas not the same on big g.

I wouldn't underestimate Bing. Microsoft have the marketing know how to really get the word out that Bing might be better for you.

If the casual browser population realise that bing is going to give them better results and show them what they want and not what we want to show them then they will stick with it.

Not everyone is a power user like many of us 'geeks' so they might enjoy all of the options and the *flash* that bing gives as well as the results it produces.

Instead of feeling the need to defend the greatness that is google you should be thinking about the potential market that bing might bring your autoblogs and sales landing pages. If the marketing does succeed, bing's target market might become your target market. Onve you know how to rank on bing yor traffic might be less than google but the conversions may be higher...

(just because something is the best now doesn't mean it will fall out of favour quickly - just look at the to-and-fro with AMD and Intel, or 3dfx and ATI/Nvidia etc )

Hard to say right now, but they forked $100 million in marketing for Bing so chances are even if it's not as good as google it will still attract users that might continue to use.

When I was looking through the search results for it the other day I didn't notice any advantages for me to use it but I might not have discovered some things.

its not a question of who will win or loose, its how much market share they each will divide among themselves , it matters to us because that is the same ratio we will be making or loosing moola!! I personally think bing has the technical know how and very capable contender . It will depend on how this community here in BH is able to see through Bing like they were able to see thru Goooogle. So, guys get to work !! i am pretty sure they are both two different animals and the same techniques that worked with G won't work with Bing. Because, microsoft played this game before by copying Google and then never caught up. They went back to the drawing board and reequipped themselves with a different set of tools and they are back to get some meat! this time from google. The real concern in all this is, how we adapt to this new animal bing, actually its twice the work for SEO's and black hatters..having to figure out two puzzles, but again gives us the option to separate our eggs into two baskets so, its not bad after all!!

Read a press release today that says google has 65% market share... Yahoo a good bit less and Microsoft in the single digits.. The partnership with Microsoft/Yahoo might make a small dent.. but Google is God
