Don't know if this is of any real use to anyone but thought it was noteworthy anyway. Amazon USA gave me postage and gift wrapping credits when selling some DVDs. These credits added up to more than the actual cost of the postage so I ended up earning nearly $200 on top. So that's good in itself, and a nice bonus on already good earnings. But it made me think: what if I got 'orders' (from somewhere) but didn't post them out? I don't know how that would be put into practice, exactly, but there seems to be possibilities. But even with 'normal' sales there is a bit extra to be made. I was selling the DVDs for $19.99 at a cost of $1. In theory it appears that I could sell a DVD for a dollar and make money from the shipping/gift wrap credits. If Amazon paid out more quickly it would be better, as my money was tied up for months before I got paid - they pay X amount of days after expected (unrealistically far away) delivery date. I would need to tie up around $900 - product ($1) + postage costs ($5.30) - to make around $180+ (I sometimes got extra postage credits for expedited shipping, which it was already anyway). If I had a lot of spare money I'd be more tempted to seriously consider doing so.
