I have a domain i started up about 4yrs ago. Its the very first one i registered when i got into IM. Over the years i have sold products from it very successfully.
In fact, the site holds the #1 position for 18 keywords in the health niche and makes me a ton of money with one catch.

THE SITE STILL HAS A PR0.

Why is that? I've asked G numerous times without any real answers. Seriously, I'd really like to know what the problem is.

The Webspam team states its not flagged. Well thats all the info G gives me. Any other reason? Err it has 1900 backlinks coming to the root domain.

What other reason would there be?

Why has this come up? Well im trying to sell the domain and the questions im getting is, if your site is so popular and its 4yrs old why does it still have a PR0?

Even though i dont think PR anything really holds much value after Panda/Penguin its a REALLY GOOD QUESTION to ask. This is the only domain that has never accumulate PR. Hell i have one page landers that are only months old that are PR3 for example. So G must still have it flagged. What other explanation is there?

How does your domain fare with other metrics such as Moz Rank and Majestic SEO citation flow rank? Also have you been constantly building backlinks over the 4 years? Maybe your site could gain some PR in the next pr update, but that's just hoping.

Take a look on how/where your backlinks come from and the # of do follow v/s no follow ratio.

P.S: If the site is making you money, PR should be the least of your worries. Any sensible buyer would look at sales rather than have a site with PR5 or something with no traffic/sales

I have quite a few PR0 sites that I'd say are quite succesful, although it dcertainly does make selling quite hard. The main thing for me is a $$$$ ROI.

First of all, the PageRank of a site doesn't matter unless you're planning on selling it. And even if you are planning on selling it, revenue will be much more important.

Secondly, Pagerank is totally dependent on backlinks, so if your site has REAL contextual links from real PR sites with low OBL, it will have to gain PR at some point. There's no other way to gain PageRank.

It has 1900 backlink and i dont backlink much to the site anymore. It has many #1 positions. I will on occasion but thats really about it. G is certainly not giving it much love.
