Anyone upgrade to Tweetadder 4.0? Well, I did. I?ve been with TweeAdder for 5 years now. Great SW that has helped me grow and manage 47 accounts into a MONSTER machine.
I upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 and Uggggg?.
Several things you need to know:

    • All user data is wiped
    • You have to log into to ALL your accounts in TweetAdder then wait for ALL the data to be downloaded
    • All your follow list, replies, automation is reset
I?ve started the very long process of setting back up my machine. I?ve been doing this now for 5 years with these accounts and grow tired.
What do I do with this monster if I don?t want to do this anymore? 5 years of account building has given me an average of 4k users per account (some are way more than others. )
Suggestions? Any one find a work around to get the old DB working instead of having to set up all account again?

    • Thanks Thanks x 2

If you've used it for 5 years then you'll know this software is now completely redundant (well from the 24th) as the whole point of Tweet Adder was it's automated functions.

Remove the automated functions and anybody wanting to make decent money needs to look elsewhere.

I've tried TwtDominator and so far that's a definite no-no. Not yet tried Tweet Demon, so that's next on the list.

I like tweet adder because you can configure each account. The automation is such you can seriously fine tune every account. It's worked very well over the years. VERY VERY well. The automation functions can be configured to play off of your other accounts and configured to be random. yes, it's A LOT of work. Well worth it. Diversifying 47 accounts is 200 times more effective than having one main account with 700k followers. The demographics and reach is mind boggling!!

Having to set this ALL back up after upgrading will take days... I'm sticking with it...what else am I going to do with this monster? Worked on these accounts for 5 years, it would be a waste to just do nothing with them. Not like I can fence the whole machine. The days of selling stuff like this have well passed. What other SW applications have people used and what have been your results?

Only tried 2 alternatives so far:

    TwtDominator
    Tweet Money Bot

Tweet Money Bot as far as I saw doesn't support private proxies. I know from experience you need Private Proxies, so no further discussion needed with that one.

TwtDominator could be OK IF (and only if) all your accounts are closely related. When you follow, it only works off a single scraped text file (a file of accounts to follow). With Tweet Adder you could scrape tweets to follow people on an account by account basis. With TwtDominator if you were following with 2 different accounts at the same time, you'd be following off 1 file.

TwtDom caters for people who say have 100 accounts all on Red Widgets - because then you can follow the same type of users 100x faster. But if you had an account on a particular band and another account on selling garden furniture, you'd be following people who simply aren't in your niche.

Do you understand what I mean?

I understand 100%. Tweet adder can indeed target based on key words, key tweets, profile data... Just takes time to dial in, but once it's dialed in, it works great!! Still not looking forward to setting all this back up though....

If you've been using Tweet Adder for 5 years, then I'd assume you have some pretty large accounts? So you could gain by using your larger accounts to retweet the smaller ones and grow them that way. You then don't absolutely rely on a following/unfollowing approach.

oh, I load tweets, retweet, replies and use flow charts to map out what I need to TA 4.0. I've pretty much mastered how to leverage TA with all these accounts and use them for companies that need SM help. I also use the search function to find mentions on each account to grow them and maximize the tweet impact. Lot of work. Still bummed to have to set it back up. Great opportunity to clr=ean things up though :)

Anyone have any other twitter automation SW they use and how does it compare? Might be time to upgrade to something better. Always up for something new. Got to do something with these accounts. Be a shame to just not use them and let them just sit...

So I went back to Tweet adder 3.0 and will set up all the accounts again. Question for anyone?

What if I don't want this "Twitter machine" anymore? What does one do with old twitter accounts?

Do what I suggested in post 7.

How many followers do you have on your 5-10 largest accounts?

First I have to say that I used an old version of tweet adder for for years.

I decided to pay for the product when I could no longer use my wamp sever program to redirect the programs Call To an IP address back to the local host (my own computer)

This worked because older version of the tweet adder program used an IP address to validate your serial. The Programmers for Tweet adder changed this exploit by directing the program to validate each serial key at a domain name. As far as I know Domain names cannot be redirected on windows machines with wamp server like programs.

I think we all would be more than happy to continue using the 3.x version of this program, but that would require someone nulling the program. I wonder who would be able to do such a thing?

Sorry To leave all hanging. Found a workaround. First, here's why TweetAdder 4 is so different from 3.0

    • TA needed to be compliant To Twitter's API TOS
    • Auto replies, auto follow, follow have been removed

There are other very cool search tools and one can still create, import and schedule tweets.
    BUT....
    TweetAdder 3.0 still works..sort of...
DO NOT TWEET FROM TA 3.0
Everything else works great. Still making it the best automated follow unfollow tool. If you have never used TA before, you can do some serious target users with the searches.
    Nice.
Now I just need to find a way to track all the analytics for all accounts separately and as an aggregate. Anyone doing something like that?

So, here's my story behind Tweet Adder. I don't even know what year I got this. 2009 I think? I got the unlimited license when it was dirt cheap. Nice thing about that is I get updates for as long as Tweet Adder is alive. Every version I've mastered, chatted with techs and fully used every function (or know what it does). Too bad it's very expensive now. Any questions, I'd be happy answer. I'm pretty good with Tweet Adder :)

How do you get past the login and authentication on 3.0? It's clearly down for me...sounds too good to be true

You used the tool for 5 years and only got 4000 followers per account? I have been using it for about 6 months and have 4000-16000 followers on each account :O

However, my 3.0 is still running. I hope my computer won't crash soon because as far as I know it will stop working as soon as you try to connect with it again
