404 means that the page wasn't found. I'll advise you to search your entire website and see which pages are giving you this error. You might be missing out on alot of traffic on those pages because the page might be indexed, and the traffic is hitting a blank page.

find the page from your site and just redirect that page to home page from htaccess so you can save some trafficl.

Don't do this crap. Put content on those pages, so you can keep those rankings for long tails if you have any. I'll advise you to check what was on the page before you got the 404.

Put content on it. Put the same content on it that got it indexed, IF it was indexed. If it wasn't indexed, then redirect it to your homepage.

If there was never any content at the URLs you're getting the 404s for, then it's most likely bots looking for exploits. There is a free WordPress plugin called 404 Redirection that will eliminate this problem by automatically redirecting 404s to the homepage.

This is also a good option but you need to add lots of new content and you have to pay for that..so if you really can afford then just add content..

Never redirect a single page 404 page to your homepage. It will eat up all of your rankings. Once I redirected about 100 pages (all were 404) and my site almost become dead.
If you can put any content then it's good otherwise leave those pages as it is.
Google itself says that 404 pages do not impact your site rankings.

See where those links to the 404s are coming from. If internal, then either fix the link, create content, or leave as a 404 and delete page from index with webmaster tools. If links are external (and quality) than you should redirect to the most relevant page.

Use something like Xenu to check your site and find internal links that 404.
