I installed Re Hub theme for my money site, its little bit more then 2 months old now, its ranking on second page now for main keywords, its doing ok in my opinion, but when I search for "site:example.com", it shows some other pages which result in 404. I didn't redirect all 404 pages to homepage, but I did installed 404 plugin in order to redirect all other 404 links to it, but it doesn't redirect anything. Maybe I need to make new page (404 page) and then redirect it to google?

I am publishing post every week or so, Google fetched my website many times in last 2 months nothing happened.

Problem is that when I installed theme, google crawled my site so it had like 100+ pages in beginning, they were real pages, then I deleted almost all of them, they are now showing 404 error message but they are still in google index. I did used crawl errors in google webmaster tools to show them as solved but every few days few of them come up as errors.

I think that this won't hurt my SEO, but I would like more if there were only like 30 urls indexed (my post, categories etc), only the important stuff :)

If you need more details let me know.

I didn't build any backlinks to those, now 404 pages. :)

In my experience, google crawls newly created content quite fast but the frequency of recrawls is very low unless the pages are very high authority and regularly decorated with new content. The pages it indexed initially will take a couple of google's crawl to be dropped out of index. That might take some time and there is nothing to worry.

I recently rebuilt a PBN domain from archived content and it got around 300+ pages indexed in google within a week. I later installed wordpress and 301ed all the 404 pages to homepage. It was 3 months ago and i still have 70+ pages indexed.

404 takes from 1 week to even 6 months to deindex all pages. Just wait and focus on other things
