    Hello,

40 unique daily visitors for the past couple of months. no sales. no serious phone calls, just cheap people asking for quotes and disappearing.
people are spending time on the site. I don't know what they searched for because they were logged in when they searched and it doesn't tell me what they searched for.

I really dont understand this. The only thing that I could think of is maybe Google voice is a piece of garbage. Maybe when people call, it doesn't forward. I dont know. that's the only thing I could think of.

do you have any suggestions how I can find out what's going on, why I am not making money, and more importantly, how I can improve my conversion rate?

PS I did exaggerate a little, its not like during the past couple of months I have made NO money, but a lot less than you would expect for 40 visitors a day. 40*5=200 visitors a week. I get like 3 clients a week, 3/200=1.5% conversion rate.

1.5% conversion rate is really good. I think your expectations were a little high when you started this as if you ask anyone, 1.5% is a great conversion rate.

If you want to test Google Voice, call the number and see if it forwards. If it forwards, then this is probably not the problem.

From what you are saying, I think your niche is just a lot smaller than you thought it was.

Yeh 1.5% isn't bad at all for a website. You should concentrate of more traffic, not a higher conversion rate.

In many niches 1.5% is average.
Without knowing your niche that's all I can say really.
Local niche, local marketing, small catchment, then maybe this is as good as it gets
National or international niche, good website, wide ranging marketing..then you need to expand your horizons and get greater visibility.
    Turn 40 a day into 400 and increase your 1.5% to 2 or 3%
But like I say without knowing what service you offer and market you are operating in, there's little of any real substance that can be added here.
