4 pages on page 2 0f google, but how to get to first page?

Four of my web 2.0 pages, and my actual site are on page 2 of Big G, but none have broached page 1. I've done link wheels, social bookmarking, and backlinks. What should I do now to move up onto page 1? All ideas appreciated...

anyone? Sorry if this is a simple question, but I'm kinda out of ideas...

You say you've "tried" more link building. What does your competition look like and define "try" please.

try and copy the top-10 competing sites' backlinks.

Get high PR9 authority links.

Buy redirected traffic for constant traffic stream.

Add articles focussed on 1 keyword.

Try and get links FROM your competing sites, also try and sneak a few links into wikipedia

Thanks guys appreciated. Well Tyler, the competition is not that strong, save the number one spot which has 80,000 domain backlinks. They're also 10 years old, whereas I'm 6 months old. (However, I'd be happy with no.2 or 3 spot for now...) I've got about 3000 backlinks, and have done one link wheel so far...
Ghenghis - thanks also. I haven't figured out how to sneak links into Wiki without it getting flagged. Any tips?
